“Reasonable mid-city hotel”
The Unicorno is OK for those intending to spend most of their day seeing the sights. Fortunately for me, Florence's unreliable sewage system behaved itself.
Bed was comfortable, room was clean, though chairs and shower curtain were shabby. Didn't use aircon, so can't comment.
Reception was good and staff very pleasant, though not fluent in english, which may be an issue if you need to phone.
You need to carry your cases up one flight to the lift - this is common in palazzo conversions, so not a complaint, just something to be aware of for older or disabled travellers.
Breakfast was OK, but not inspiring. I ate breakfast at a cafe after the first day.
