Pros: WiFi was very important to me and loved that it worked at this hotel.
Location: Location was great. Very close to all landmarks.
Stayed at this hotel for five days. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about area and day trips. Would definitely stay here again. WiFi really worked as they said.

Great location great staff and great valuePosted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: all the staff were helpful from the start. moving rooms was easy, booking of museums - advice on local restaurants and most with pretty good English
Cons: Some rooms are upgraded and are very swish, some have rather elderly plumbing - However we chose the latter because the room had a bath and was bigger
Location: only a six minute walk to the station - it felt safe to walk there at 1030 pm at night with suitcases. lively area with good restaurants nearby.
We have just spent a week at this v nice hotel in Florence. close but not too close to the station ; adjacent to a large square to see life going by. we always walked to all the sights in Florence and ate every night within 5 minutes of the hotel. La Spada was very good and Osteria Giovanni exceptional. There were hotels around so plenty of tourists but locals also and some great shops - no supermarkets or brands - just individual shops - and great icecream! we felt welcome and safe walking around at night . Some 3 star hotels are up several flights of stairs and no lounge area. this had a ground floor reception and lounge area. plus free wifi in all rooms.

Nice hotel, great locationPosted Sep 25, 2013
Charming little hotel, friendly staff, good size clean room. Bed was a bit too hard for us but after a long day we feel fast asleep. One thing I did not care for was the staff takes your key everytime you leave and you have to go back to the desk when you return . Never experienced this anywhere else I've stayed and it was kind of annoying.

It was hot and what a lot of people.Posted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: The hotels location was just right with all the major sites within easy walking distance.
Florence is beautiful city or though we only went to the old part. The place is steeped in history and the architecture is fantastic as is the number of excellent restaurants.

I liked it very much. Food could have more variety.

Gem in the CityPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Unicorno was surprisingly close to both the bus and train stations so transfers to and from the airport were quite simple. Even though it is close to nearly all attractions in Florence (I walked the PERIMETER of the city in under two hours!) the night noise is practically nil! The desk staff is quite helpful. Know that the first night's charge will be levied before your arrival that first day. Overall, this was a SOLID place to stay. The room was clean, they have an elevator (!!!), and the price was right. I plan to be back.
