“Not impressed”

We arrived late in the evening and the front desk staff was not polite, or very interested in helping. I booked a non-smoking room--after such a late arrival, getting 2 children settled and into bed, I finally got into bed and the bed reeked of smoke. The room didn't smell, just the bed. I didn't complain at the time given my tired kids and the hour-we were all exhausted from travel. The stench kept me up all night. The next morning, I discovered the ice machine wasn't working (we had a cooler for a long trip), and the new front desk staff was very difficult to communicate with, so I didn't bother trying to waste my travel time to complain. Thank goodness it was only a one night stopover.
