Trip of a lifetime!Posted Dec 29, 2013
Pros: With all honesty - everything!
Location: Strongly advise a day trip to 'Tuscany'. They pick you from your hotel at the crack of dawn & take you to Pisa (leaning tower), San Gimignano & Siena.
Well, where do I start? The reason for our trip was to mark a milestone birthday and was planning on going to Rome… that is until I saw the picture of this hotel! It looked so magical that, to be honest, I was quite sceptical and thought that is was overrated! How wrong I was! Everything is exactly as in the pictures; the grand entrance; the rooms, everything (except the pool, as we went in December we couldn’t use it). I've attached some of my own. The staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel welcome instantly. They are on point and really do meet all your needs. The rooms are very clean and orderly. To be honest, no words can describe this place; you just have to see with your own eyes. It’s definitely worth the experience!

We stayed one night at the Salviatino and were pleased with the convenient shuttle into the city, the delicious breakfast, and the beautiful grounds, and attentive staff. We had a room with a king-size bed, which ended up being two twin beds pushed together (with separate fitted sheets, even, but a king-size top sheet and blankets). The beds were comfortable but we would have liked to have a continuous bed as it was a romantic getaway!

Best hotel ever!Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Everything! Food, rooms! views!
Cons: A little bit would be the hotel staff.
I travel a lot and this is truely one of the best htoels I've ever been to. 5 star! The best food in all of Italy, The chef is excelent! I own an Italian Rest. in my country and to be honest the best food in all of Italy was i nthis Hotel. It VERY EXPENSIVE! But the food is excelent. The location is a bit outside of town, but the view you get is the best view in all of Florence! I did rent a car and it was very easy for me to travel. Hteo staff was great but not better than in Madrid where i was before this trip.

Fantastic hotel with excellent viewsPosted Oct 13, 2013
This was the third hotel on our honeymoon and we'd definitely saved the best until last. Despite being 5 star the hotel atmosphere is very relaxed and the architecture is fantastic. They offer a free shuttle service to Florence every hour, which is great. We will definitely be back!

Very nice hotel, but a bit remote.Posted Oct 12, 2013
Staff were excellent, and very helpful. Rooms were very nice and we had a beautiful view over Florence. All in all, had a very special stay. Only niggle was that last shuttle bus back was at 8pm, which meant taxi every night.

Scenic couples retreatPosted Sep 24, 2013
The staff call themselves a family and make every effort to accommodate your needs. The food is excellent but after three days feels repetitive. it is difficult getting to town for dinner however. I'd recommend a weekend but not much longer.

Great Hotel with Excellent StaffPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The grounds and view were spectacular. Our room was very, very nice and large. The staff was outstanding.
Cons: The hotel's shuttle service could operate longer each evening. The food selections at dinner could be better.
Location: Florence and Tuscany are beautiful with so much to see and do. The villages are great to experience as well as the historical sites in Florence.
The hotel and its grounds are truly beautiful. The view overlooking Florence is spectacular. The hotel staff were very helpful in booking private tours for us throughout Tuscany. Also, they were very helpful in recommending restaurants and making reservations for us throughout our stay. We spent 8 nights at the hotel and did day excursions throughout Florence and Tuscany. Lino was very helpful with helping us decide what to see as far a various villages and wineries in Tuscany as well as setting up private tours.

An amazing hotel with super staff.Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Great staff - the Ambassidor system worked well. Loved the room, but could have done with a sitting area. Gardens beautifully sculptured
Cons: More attention to detail in some areas, bath towels could have been offered instead of the towelling gowns.
Location: Fabulous view, as much to do in the area as one wanted. Its worth travelling to the local small village to have dinner.
Amazing hotel, super staff, food and drinks are quite expensive and sometimes attendion to detail was missing. But over all we had an amazing time and would certainly go back again. Loved the slight decadence of the room, the TV in the mirror was iniviative.
