Gorgeous! Wonderful! Highly ecommended!Posted Sep 28, 2014
Location: Take the free shuttle in to Florence.
The entire staff is wonderful! Sabrina checked us in, and I'd mentioned it was our 25th anniversary the following day, and when we returned to our room after sight seeing, our bed was covered with rose petals in a heart shape, and we were gifted a bottle of wine and a nice congratulatory note. A really nice surprise. The entire staff is wonderful and will do whatever they can to make you stay pleasant- from the waiters and maids, to the front desk folks. The locations, about 5 miles out of Florence, is a nice respite from a day in the city. The location is right on the Arno, next to a waterfall and very pretty. The place is immaculate and as charming as you'd expect a centuries-old converted gristmill to be. The shuttle is convenient and quick, and if you have time, you can wait for it with a drink at the rooftop pool bar (a great view of the city) at their sister hotel where the shuttle picks up and drops off. (One minor- very minor- quibble- the Internet connection is slow and drops off, but its fine for posting online updates as long as you're not uploading a movie or a hundred photos. Other than that, don't waste time on the Internet- this place is too beautiful to have your nose stuck online). Overall, well worth it. I would definitely recommend.

Great resort-type experiencePosted Sep 9, 2014
Awesome place to relax and get away from the city. About a 15 euro cab ride away from the Duomo and downtown shops/Ponte Vecchio as well as a free shuttle service but only a few times a day. They have great accommodations w/pickup at the hotel such for tours to wine country and cinque terre that is VERY easy for tourists. It all can be paid right there at the hotel. Very clean and very professional staff with a classy restaurant. I would not recommend it if you only have a day or two for site seeing and shopping. We had 5 days so we had a little more relaxed attitude.

Nice friendly Hotel just outside the city centre.Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, close to the city centre, easy parking
Cons: The only thing I feel that might be improved would be the Menu in the hotel restaurant for evening dinner, which i thought was a little boring.
Hey what a friendly little hotel just outside the city centre, from the moment we arrived until we left the moment we left the staff were brilliant, pleasant, helpful.I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk staff knew about the local area and where to eat out, there was a charming barman who couldnt do enough for you.Top marks to all of them.

Florence HotelPosted Aug 22, 2014
Beautiful hotel built from former grain mill on the Arno river. Book a river view room. We had a first floor room opening onto a patio with chairs/table overlooking river (room 114). This hotel is in the city limits, but about 2 miles from center of town and on the south side of Arno river. If you want to be able to walk to the usual sightseeing shops and sleep in the middle of the tourist mayhem that is Florence, this is not the hotel for you. But if you want to see Florence by day and sleep in a calm, beautiful setting at night, this is the perfect place. There is a free shuttle into town.

My favourite hotel ever!Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Five star comfort without the ostentation. Beautiful setting, food, and swimming!
Cons: Would have liked to pop into Florence for shorter duration, shuttle at 11 to 5.30 meant six hours minimum.
Location: Tranquil setting but wished the local village and surrounding area had a few more restaurants within walking distance.
My daughter and I stayed at the Mulino di Firenze for a week. We wanted to be able to have a city break with the relaxation of a country retreat. A big ask, but The Mulino lived up to our expectations. The setting was idyllic, the terraced restaurant by the river was a lovely place to eat breakfast. We also had several dinners in the restaurant, as there aren't that many places within walking distance to eat, these were all without exception totally gorgeous and reasonably priced considering the quality. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, making it a place one can feel totally relaxed. We also enjoyed the chance to swim and sunbathe in tranquil surroundings and this offered a lovely contrast to the busy streets of wonderful Florence.

Location: Out of the town so a shuttle bus is provided.
A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Breakfasts were amazing. The staff, no matter what their job, were incredibly helpful especially when I had my purse stolen. I would love to visit again.

Amazing Hotel to visit fantastic Florence!!Posted Jul 27, 2014
The hotel is situated right on the gorgeous river Agno on the outskirts of Florence but within easy access to the City. The Hotel provide a regular shuttle bus or you can get public bus or even use the complimentary bikes and ride into the City along the river. The Hotel is superb - brilliant facilities and the most comfy of beds. The breakfast is stunning with both hot and cold buffets. The Hotel staff are excellent. Very friendly and advised of places to eat in Florence which were all incredible. We had an amazing stay and can't rate this Hotel and staff highly enough.

Cons: Shuttle service operations could start earlier and end later.
If you would like to stay just outside of Florence, this hotel is an excellent option. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is very personable. Shuttle service to and from Florence is available, but the times are limited (making cabs necessary at times). Excellent breakfast (included in rate) and tasty Italian dinners served.
