Perfect Florence hotel!

Posted May 4, 2015
This is an incredible hotel! The location is excellent (walking distance from the Florence train station, as well as all the major museums and tourist attractions in Florence). The staff is extremely helpful and courteous to first time American visitors. The lobby is beautiful, the breakfast is delicious (they even have gluten free options), and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The historical building is charming - Exactly what a traveler wants when visiting Florence! I would stay here again!

Posted May 3, 2015

Fantastic experience

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Central location, the upgrade, the architecture, the breakfast. The restaurant recommendations were also perfect.
Cons: It was perfect
Location: Loads to see in Florence and we were in the heart of it.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff could not have been more helpful and everything was perfect. Finding it was a bit of a mission by car but once we did they took care of the parking for us and showed us how to get in and out of town.

Inmitten der Altstadt: Gelungenes Cross-Over

Posted Apr 13, 2015

Visiting our study abroad student

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Front desk staff and location
Cons: make elevator access from lobby
Location: central location, Uffizz and Duomo very close, can walk to everything
Hotel has a great location and the staff is exceptionally helpful. A few things about the hotel were disappointing. You have to climb a flight of stairs in the lobby to take the lift to your floor. Weird and inconvenient for guests with a disability. The rooms were exceptionally small. Not a lot of room for a couple to hang their clothes. Would ave liked the bathroom floors and countertop to have been cleaned more after daily room service. Even reminder staff mid week during our stay, but no change. Front desk staff was very friendly and made good suggestions for meals.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Close enough to important areas but on a quiet street. The staff were polite and helpful. I would stay there again

Beautiful hotel - very disappointed in our room

Posted Apr 3, 2015
This hotel is clearly first class. The common areas are beautiful, the location is incredibly central to everything and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were, however, very disappointed in our room accommodations. Because we were there during holy week, the hotel was very full and due to high prices ($220/night) I chose to book a standard room. What we got was a room that resembled a cave with low ceilings, facing the street - which we only knew because of the very loud street noise all night long. The bottoms of the windows were about 9 feet high and we were unable to see anything but the tops of the adjacent buildings on the other side of the street. Definitely not the ambiance I expected in one of the most beautiful cities in the world... That resulting in us trying to find a nice place to relax in the evenings because we had no desire to spend time in our room.
