Great, quiet boutique hotel

Posted May 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel has character, and a private courtyard, felt safe. The owner showed us two rooms and let us choose. The room we choose had a 2nd floor balcony where our daughter could sleep. The room was very clean, 20' ceilings. This hotel, is situated within an old palace. If you are looking for character, this is the place, also centrally located. Upon leaving the owner gave us a hand written note with a small watercolor she had completed.

Nice spot for quick trip to Firenze

Posted May 25, 2013
Pros: The location and character of the place.
Cons: Having trouble getting in on arrival.
Location: 10 minutes walking distance from the train station, easy walk to attractions.
We had some trouble getting in to the hotel when we first arrived as the gate was locked, but some friendly locals helped us out. Host Daniela was a character, very emotional and a bit scatty (forgot to give us breakfast vouchers), but we had a good stay and would recommend this place.

Beautiful but defective

Posted May 8, 2013
Location: Excellent location for visiting major attractions.
We were in a beautiful 17th century room the first night, but then were moved to a large apartment for the next two nights that we were told was an "upgrade.". The toilet seat was broken, the bed was hard, and there were no dressers to enable us to fully unload our suitcases. It's a great place to stay if you want to experience a renaissance palace in this magical city, but just be careful about which room you get.
