The Palazzo Vecchietti was an amazingly wonderful hotel experience. It lives up to the "small, luxury boutique" hotel label. The staff were amazing, especially Luca at the front desk. He (and others) were so friendly, suggesting outings, making sure all is as we like it, etc. There were also two lovely people hosting breakfast (one male one female). I'm ashamed to say that I don't recall their names but they were so lovely, a real welcoming sight in the morning. The other staff keeping our rooms straight or responding to a request for more towels or water, could not have been more fabulous. They were respectful of privacy, basically popping in to clean when we were out and we never saw them but everything was in its place. The location could not have been any better. Centrally located for any tourist. Specifically perfect for me as my daughter's apartment was about 3/4 of a block from the hotel. The staff were always gracious and friendly, especially to my daughter who has been studying in Florence since August. I had not seen her for three months and I first caught sight of her in the lovely lobby of the hotel. Luca offered us champagne and took care of my luggage so my daughter and I could go up and enjoy our lovely room. Luca made sure that my daughter had a key and felt welcome to come and go and enjoy the room while I stayed there. I give the hotel and staff 5+ stars on location, presentation, staff, luxury. We knew whatever we needed, we had only to ask!
