Exceeded my expectations!!!Posted Oct 24, 2013
My stay at Palazzo Vecchio was super pleasant! At check-in and throughout my stay, Reem (a lovely hostess at the front desk) helped me reserve tickets for the Accademia and the train. My room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was elegant. I enjoyed hearing the sound of the church bells at Santa Maria Novella from outside my window. I was pleased with how quiet my room was and how close all the sights were to the hotel (easily walkable). It's across the street from the train station and near the beautiful Duomo (my favorite building in the world). I loved Florence and I would definitely stay at the Palazzo Vecchio on my return trip!

Nice hotel close to Firenze S.M.N. train stationPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Perfect location to explore the city; spacious room with high ceiling; modern bathroom; balcony; delicious breakfast
Cons: Nothing in particular
Location: Very close to the train station, from where you can easily explore the Tuscany region (Siena, etc.), Pisa, etc. 5-minute walk to Duomo; 15 minutes to
We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and its strategic location near (really near!) the Florence main railway station - Firenze S.M.N. Not disappointed. We stayed in Florence for 4 days, exploring the city and the Tuscany region; getting easy to the train station in less than 5 minutes was the major point. Very close to Central Market and easy to the famous places (Duomo and beyond). The staff was very professional and friendly.

Awesome!!!Posted Aug 24, 2013
This hotel right when we arrived was awesome. Not far from the main station in Florence. A cool little bar right next door. Not far from the sites. AC worked awesome. Hotel staff very informative about where the sites are without even asking (which was nice because I always forget to ask and get a map). The room was spacious, clean and had a balcony. Has an elevator/lift. My favorite part of this hotel was the jacuzzi tub. I think this may be a new requirement for all hotels I stay in now. Breakfast was nice, some pastries, coffee, eggs, fruits, cereal, juices, meats and cheeses. Internet worked great, however, sometimes I could not connect due to low signal, but you just move to the other side of the bed then its fine. I left some of my belongings and they shipped them back to me at no charge. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to Florence.

Comfortable Hotel Close to Train StationPosted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location was great. Close to train station (arriving from Pisa) and bus station (departing to airport) and had safe and secure parking for our friends from Holland. The staff was friendly and helpful and the bed and room very comfortable. Hotel was located within walking distance of the all the tourist sites. The staff recommended some restaurants which were very good.

Second Stay In FlorencePosted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was decent. Located right down the street from the train station and within a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. The bathroom was clean but very narrow. The shower was extremely small (I am 5'4", and 123 lbs), the shower curtain kept wrapping around me which was kind of off putting. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. It was rather quiet considering the proximity to the train station. Staff was okay.

Centrally based hotel, 100 yards from train and bus station. Very clean, good breakfast and very helpfull staff. Bathroom, particularly the shower were on the small side.
