Hotel muy céntrico

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: El restaurante
Cons: Poner otro elevador
Location: Buenos restaurantes. Se pueden comprar artículos de piel a buen precio
Buen hotel, el personal a veces indiferente. El elevador muy pequeño y uno solo, por lo que se complica el uso de este.

Amazing views of the Ponte Vecchio

Posted Apr 21, 2015
The location is perfect, right across the street from the Ponte Vecchio. It's also a historic hotel and has the feel of genuine Florence to it. I highly recommend

Ideally situated hotel

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Ideal position. Cleanliness. helpful staff.
Cons: Bathroom facilities - shelving, storage, hooks. Breakfast choices.
Location: Next to Ponte Vecchio, good shopping, easy walking distance to all places of interest. 20 mins from Firenze Airport by taxi.
Pitti Palace Hotel is a stone's throw from the south side of the Ponte Vecchio. It is an ideal stepping off point for visiting everything in Florence on foot. Although it is between two roads, and on a corner, it is not noisy. We were given a room upgrade, but the room was quite small, so we wondered how tiny our original room would have been! However, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had been recently refurbished, and spotless. I do wish though, that hotel bathrooms like this provided more shelf space for personal toiletries, under basin storage and more hooks for hanging. It is a nuisance having to live out of your washbag for several days, and having nowhere to hang clothing. The breakfast was adequate but unexciting - ie only two choices of cereal - cornflakes and muesli, two juices and pre-cooked boiled or scrambled eggs. There were also cheese slices and cold meats, and croissants (although nowhere to heat them). Initially we had to decant tea and coffee from a push-button machine, but then the staff offered to make us a cappuchino or latte from their more sophisticated machine. There was a restaurant on the top floor, but we decided to eat out each of the three nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the foyer welcoming. All in all, I would chose to stay there again if visiting Florence, and would recommend it for its perfect position. I do find that Italian city hotels purporting to be 4* are more like an English 3*.

Hervorragende Lage

Posted Apr 21, 2015

Great Hotel for sightseeing.

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The position, staff & rooms - all excellent.
Cons: Air Conditioning available all year, and double glazing on the Windows to reduce noise from outside.
Location: Literally a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio, a very short walk to the Palazzo Vecchio & Uffizi Gallery.
The hotel was in an excellent position, easy to walk to most of the major sites. The staff were all pleasant & helpful, and the room was very comfortable & clean. The only real drawback was that despite the website saying there was Air Conditioning - this only comes on in the "summer". We visited in April & despite it being really warm (20-25 C outside & 27 C in the room), there was only hot air coming out of the A/C. Nobody was sure when "summer" started so I have no idea when the Air Conditioning becomes operational.

Gutes Hotel, zentral in Florenz gelegen.

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Gutes Hotel, sehr zentral gelegen. Bei gekipptem Fenster ist es laut, schon sehr früh. Man kann aber Fenster schließen und die Klimaanlage anmachen. Hotel sehr sauber. Ein-und Auschecken problemlos. Der Service ist tadellos. Das Frühstück gut, aber relativ überschaubares Büffet.

Excellent Hotel in Fantastic Position

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Its location, standard of comfort and delightful views from the restaurant.
Cons: No suggestions
Location: Central location. Uffizi and Pitti Palace are 10 minutes walk away. The Ponte Vecchio is 30s away.
The hotel is at the end of the Ponte Vecchio and is in an ideal position for visiting all the sights of Florence. Our room was comfortable and had a view of the end of the bridge. Breakfasts are on the 6th floor overlooking the city, so you get a fantastic view. On good days the terrace is used for eating. Breakfasts are standard european fare to which you help yourself. We only had one evening meal and this was quite acceptable. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance and a supermarket 2 minutes away. One word of advice for Florence, book your tickets for the Uffizi and Accademia in advance on the internet. You pay a bit more but can bypass the awful queues that build up everyday. The small hillside town of Fiesole can be reaced on a 25 minute bus ride and is well worth a visit.

Nice hotel

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Overall, quite nice. Room "with a view" was a bit of an overstatement. The hotel staff were very friendly, but they could use a really good concierge. Everything else was good.
