“What a wonderful experience.”

We spent there 17 days in May / June. This is just a wonderful boutique hotel in maybe the best location in Firenze: very central and super quite. This is quite something for a city buzzing with tourists. The hotel manager made sure our stay there is a delight from the moment we landed until our departure. She guided us to some of the best value restaurants in town and her advise was really precious. Make sure you inform hotel exactly the time of your arrival !

“A Peaceful and Beautiful Place to Rest”

My husband and I just returned(June 2011) from a 2 week trip to Italy. Our second week was spent at the Ponte Vecchio Suites and Spa. Our first week in Italy was great fun but very tiring, but here at this location we found just the most perfect place to rest, put up our feet, stretch, relax and simply enjoy ourselves. We had a suite with a sitting room/kitchenette, our bedroom and a lovely bath. It was comfortable there - the bed was the best we found in Italy! The room was impeccably clean... a slice of heaven! We were also very impressed with the location. We were just steps away from Ponte Vecchio, and found lots of shopping opportunites and great restaraunts. The staff at the desk were kind, pleasant and extremely helpful. We cannot think of our stay there with anything but good memories.

“Unique property”

The hotel Ponte Vecchio Suites is located in a tiny alley about a block from the bridge. It's very quiet, modern, clean and well maintained. The room (with a separate bedroom) was comfortable, and had a mini-kitchen sufficient to prepare breakfast, light snacks, etc. There are lots of stores including a mini-mart very nearby. The rate was reasonable, the concierge was very helpful - great place to stay in Florence.

“Fabulous”

Perfectly located very close to Ponte Vecchio yet quiet and peaceful once inside. Receptionists eager to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Comfortably furnished, nice bathroom and welcome air conditioning. Small kitchenette suited us well, there was a deli style supermarket nearby and we were able to stock up the decent sized fridge with eggs, sausages fruit juices, bottled water etc. Spa available for extra fee giving private usage for a couple of hours, nice double jauzzi plus steam room, a real treat. Florence was beautiful, so much to see! When we return, without doubt we will stay here again.

“Excellent location and clean, comfortable rooms”

The hotel is located within walking distance of everything you need and directly across the street from a wonderful cafe. The rooms were extremely clean and modern - wood floors, modern furniture and amenities. We would stay in this hotel again in a second.

“Small but great”

Small Italian hotel room but very nicely appointed. Modern look with a really nice memory foam mattress that caused me to go out and buy a new mattress back in CA. Beautiful bath with good hot water and shower pressure. Excellent service. Great location--walking distance to everything. Best breakfast we had in Italy--was really surprised how good it was given that it was inclusive. Impressive hotel that i would strongly recommend. The small size of all Italian hotel rooms causes me to lower the comfort score.

“Sometimes smaller is better”

This small boutique hotel is located on a quite street in a quant neighbor hood that allows easy access to all that Florence has to offer. The rooms are spacious and clean. Each room has a small kitchen suitable for making morning coffee or reheating leftovers. There is a market on the street below that has everything you could need. This is not a full service hotel with a grand lobby so if that is your preference stay away. If you need a comfortable, modern, centrally located place to stay this is definitely for you.

“AWESOME HOTEL”

This was an amazing hotel! It was larger than we expected of a European hotel and very comfortable. We were also within walking distance of almost everything. We flew into Pisa and rented a car to drive to Florence. Don't do that if you are American. The drive from Pisa to Florence is not bad but once you get into Florence, you are surrounded by moped and the roads are extremely narrow. I think my heart stopped on several occasions as we were trying to navigate our way around. And once we got there, all we did was park our car in a parking garage and walk around everywhere. Definitely not worth the price to rent and park a car. Florence was great city - great art and history, great food and great gelato!

“Great find close to everything but not in a "touristy" location”

We chose the Ponte Vecchio Suites and Spa based on their rating and their price and were very pleased with what we got. Just about two blocks away from the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno (left bank side of the city), it was very easy to walk most everywhere we wanted to go but we weren't in the heart of the main attractions. The staff was very accommodating and friendly - asking us every day if all was well and if there was anything they could do for us. The room was larger than we've previously experienced in Europe, including a sitting-room type of area along with the expected bed and bathroom. The kitchenette also included a sink, mini-fridge, two burners and a cupboard full of kitchen items. The only things we would criticize were the fact that it was difficult to find. As far as we could tell, the road that it is on only exists for a block, preventing it from being listed on any maps we had with us. So print off a good map from GoogleMaps or MapQuest before you leave! Also, there was not a spa as Americans define spa, so the name is a bit misleading, but we didn't find this to be a problem. Merely a bit confusing. This really is a great place to stay in Florence and we would recommend it to anyone!

“Great stay for family of 4”

Owner and Manager greeted us on arrival and were very friendly and provided outstanding service. Hotel and number of staff are small, so we were really treated like guests, not just customers. Hotel is in the heart of Florence, yet on a quiet side street. Rooms are brand new (Sep 08) with sound-insulating double pane windows ... much quieter than older hotels. Decoration is clean and very modern. Minibar fridge has plenty of room for your own drinks and snacks. We always slept well on the king bed. Sofa bed was fine for our young boys. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but a coffee/pastry shop is only a few steps away and there must be dozens of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Fresh fruit from the local shops is better than we've had anywhere in years. Will definitely stay here again next trip to Florence.
