It was only a little problem.Posted Jul 30, 2014
It was only a little problem. The staff does not speak English even if simple word. It was very convenient from the train station nearby. The room was clean.

Accommodation in Florence is more expensive compared to Venice and Rome. Hotel is a couple of minutes walking distance away from train station if you exit from side entrance. Early morning traffic noise could be audible for sensitive people (we carried ear plugs just in case). Room (for 3 people) has high ceiling and spacious. Wifi was good, but no refrigerator, or elevator. If you have heavy luggage you have to haul it up 40 steps to second floor. We were allowed to keep our luggage in a secure locked room for free after we checked out, so that we could go around for few more hours.

Perfect location for going to The MallPosted Jan 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
When I booked the hotel, I didn't realize it was only a two star hotel, so I was a bit surprised how small and simple the room was, however, the location was fantastic for anywhere in the old town and also for going outside of Florence by bus or train. Perfect for going to The Mall, a designer outlet mall. And what really made my stay pleasant, was the hotel's staff!!! All the staff at the Hotel Rayan were so kind and sweet!!! Especially, the elderly lady at the reception desk, who did not speak English much, but was sooo incredibly sweet! And the younger and tall man who spoke English, who was so kind and patient with me and my girlfriend! Thank you, Hotel Rayan, we had a pleasant shopping trip in Florence!

Worth itPosted Jul 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
A short distance from Firenze Station (SMN). Well equipped (with shower cubicle and handryer). The tall gentlemen with bear is very nice and helps to deliver luggage from G/F as without lift. Checked-in at 8:40am (a wonderful experience). Not noisy. Strongly recommend especially for catching for an early train.

Great ServicePosted May 3, 2011
The hotel is right next to both the train and bus stations which is good, however the area around the stations is one of the less beautiful areas of florence. The rooms were fine nothing fancy, has all the basics... but above all the service was AMAZING!!!!! Its owned by a family, the grandmother is very friendly and the son is hard working, they really invited us in and answered all the questions we had, would definetly recommend this place.
