Central location

Relais Campanile is ideally located just a block from the Duomo. They had one of the most comfortable beds out of all the places I stayed in Italy! I was in touch with Chiara and she made sure someone was there to meet us when we arrived (they have limited reception ours, but will arrange to meet you anytime, as long as you let them know). He also helped us bring our bags upstairs (no elevator)! The only negative was that some days there was a horrible smell coming from the ground floor entryway. I think it's just because the building is hundreds of years old. The same smell occurred in the ground floor of the Uffizi, so maybe it's a Florence thing? Luckily you couldn't smell anything in the rooms, just coming and going.

Great location, decent room

This little hotel is right down the block from the Duomo and the center of Florence. The breakfast in room was great, the room was a really nice size and overlooked the street with wonderful large windows from the second floor. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Getting there, you have to walk up a flight of stairs, which may turn people off who need an elevator, but for the most part, we had to do this in all the B&Bs we stayed at so it didn't bother us. On the down side, the bathroom was very small and there was some mold and the shower was kinda old. We enjoyed our stay here overall, for the (relatively) good price.

I would highly recommend this hotel to people travelling to Florence. The location is perfect, just a minute's wall to the Duomo, with in walking distance of the whole city. Room was beautiful and comfortbale with everything you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Make sure you opt for the breakfast, as it is served to your room at a time of your choice and absolutley delicious. I would definatley stay here again.
