Pros: Very clean and in comfortable beds
Cons: You need to make sure that you understand thenrrangements for accessing the hotel, it's a bt complicated especially in the evening.
Location: In the heart of Florence so many main sites are near by.
Short time there, but we were impressed with the room and the location.

Wonderful B&BPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Stefano; the lift; great location; cheerful clean rooms; a/c; free water machine; discount at bakery next door for breakfast pastry
Cons: Need softer mattresses
Location: Central to sights of the historic area; buy tickets at Orsanmichele church to avoid lines. Short taxi ride from the train; 20 min by taxi to airport.
We had a great experience at Residenza. It's located quite close to all the major sights and we loved walking around the pedestrian area. We felt very safe both outside and inside the B&B. When the four of us arrived, the taxi took us to the wrong street, one block past the Residenza. Just as we were pulling out the map, he returned and said "wrong street!" and we piled back in and he took us to the correct address. There's a keypad outside the door, and using the code which Stefano had sent us by email, we entered and took the lift up to the 3rd floor. When we walked into reception, Stefano met us & let us pick our rooms, (we chose #6 with a view of the Duomo from the bathroom) then gave us a map and circled all the places of interest in the area. The next day, after we returned from an all day tour of the Cinque Terre, we found two champagne glasses and cookies on a tray in our room, with a note saying there was a small bottle of Asti in the fridge for us! We were so surprised. Guests also have use of the reception area which is open all night with a small community fridge, dishes, glasses, cutlery, free water machine & a 60c coffee machine. I gave comfort a 4 because the beds & pillows are extremely firm, but the extra pillow in the armoire is cushy and Stefano gave us a second one. On the day before our flight home, Stefano let us use his computer to checkin online and print boarding passes. Overall we loved staying here and Stefano is a very welcoming host.

Great locationPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is well located within walking distance of all the major sights in Florence. The room were well appointed and comfortable, and the manager was helpful with giving us information about the area. The only letdown was the wifi, which only worked intermittently.

wonderful location and servicePosted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in the heart of the historic center and within walking distance of all that you could ask for. Stefano was a great host and was even able to assist in making reservations for us at the Uffizi and the Academia before our arrival. Will recommend Residenza Della Signoria to anyone that is going to Firenze.

Excellent location !!!Posted Apr 22, 2014
We are a family of four from Mexico including our two daughters (8 and 13 years old) and we absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. The location can not be any better you are within walking distance to all the major tourist sites in Florence, we walked from the train station and it was a 15 minute walk and very easy to find. The rooms are very spacious and well kept with a large sized bathroom and plenty of room to keep your luggage, even though it is located in one of the most touristy avenues once you close the windows it gets very quiet. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen that you can share with other guests, it has a Lavazza coffee machine that for 20 cents gets you coffee and tea 24/7. We cooked two great meals there, and always had things in the refrigerator, you just put a key chain with your room number so each guest know to whom it belongs, since we stayed in summer it was very handy. And above else Stefano is very kind and helpful, always making sure that you are comfortable and he helps you in any way he can. We would certainly stay again.

Great stay!Posted Jul 30, 2013
My son and I visited Florence for a few days in July and stayed at the Residenzia. We choose based on TripAdvisor and, once again, TA got it right! The location can't be beat; the rooms are comfortable and well appointed; and the service was tops - Stefano went out of his way to help us organize our visit, pointing out local (insider) highlights and events, and some excellent restaurants. Very much appreciated. Thanks, Stefano for a terrific stay!

A Great FindPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
I searched through the 1,100 hotels in Florence and I'm so happy that I chose this one. What a nice place! We stayed two nights and didn't want to leave. It's really more of a small B&B. I think there are 7 rooms ideally located to the major attractions in Florence. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. Our bathroom was very nice with many conveniences you would expect to find in a larger hotel. Security is excellent. Stefano, the manager, is most helpful. The airline lost one bag of our luggage and he helped us try to get it back. I know some other reviewers did not like the fact that there is not someone available at the front desk 24 hours a day, but that is not a problem. Stefano was just a phone call away! If you're looking for a hotel that offers all kinds of entertainment for its guests - this is not the place for you. If you want to explore Florence knowing you have a great place to go at the end of the day to relax and get a good night's sleep, I recommend this hotel. We will definitely be staying there again.

Delightful central location in FlorencePosted Apr 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Charming small hotel (7 rooms max) in clean, airy, well-maintained flat on the 4th floor (by US count) with elevator access, in a building in the heart of Florence. One of the best bakeries is right next door and we heard a fantastic gelato shop was right across the street but sadly never did make it there when we had room to eat, so stuffed with great pasta were we. Hotel is mainly self-serve (you enter with a code they email to you and pick up your keys if the concierge isn't there, no breakfast and a 0.60 Euro coffee maker, but use of fridge and cute kitchen if needed. We loved the tall (15 feet?) ceilings and stately gold of the open, airy, and clean room. Very comfortable and large bed (the best of our Italy stay!), modern and very clean bathroom. We found it perfect for our needs and great to come and go as we pleased. There were very few other guests so hard to say if it would have been loud if full. The shutters were good at shutting out street noise and light. Thought it was well worth the price given some other comparisons that were not nearly as nice but cost about the same. We would definitely stay there again and heartily recommend it.!

Great place to stay!Posted Dec 21, 2012
Pros: The towel-warmers.
Cons: Twice we had to scrounge around for TP.
Location: Great location, about 1 1/2 blocks from Duomo.
The staff was very helpful, the location was wonderfully central, the windows were double-pane so that the street noise was subdued. We had free use of the kitchen, including refrigerator and stove, making it possible to eat "in" whenever we wanted. Private bath and dark room made sleeping soundly quite easy. We had a "quad" which meant a large room with 4 twin beds, 2 pushed together to make a king and two separate. There was a small round table and two chairs and a desk and two large cabinets with keys to store our belongings as well as a safe. We loved it and would stay there whenever we return to Firenze!
