Excellent place with great location

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, breakfast included, good room. Staff even helped to print our train tickets. Highly recommend.
Cons: Wifi was a little slow. Finding the place was a bit confusing, and took some time for them to open their door (as some noisy cleaning was happening)
Location: Right near Duomo, Baptistry. Close to train station SMN, and not far from Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, etc. Many other walkable things nearby
Has an amazing stay at Residenza Giotto. Initially, it was a little hard to find. the only thing marking its location was a small plaque on the wall. Once we took the old elevator up to the 4th floor, we were greeted by the extremely pleasant receptionist. The entire place is relatively small, with one long turning hallway with several rooms, a room for breakfast (included) in the morning, and a terrace with a view of the Duomo. Room was great, only stayed there for one night but would have stayed longer. Fantastic location right near the Duomo.

Perfect location

This place is hard to find, a little brass plaque on the building is all, but really worth it. Outstanding view of the cathedral from the back porch

Nice room, great location near main attractions

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location, staff was very friendly, terrace view of Duomo, plenty of hot H2O, amenities all worked well, great mattress.
Cons: Location of room #1 is too close to receptionist desk. For more privacy, request another room. Street noise prohibit open windows.
Location: Hotel sits in heart of downtown Florence, w easy walk to Duomo, Acadamia, Uffici, and main attractions.
Located on fourth floor, offers great location and view of Florence. A little hard to find at first, but after asking a few local vendors, found it easily. If noise sensitive, you may want to request a room away from street Roma...as you might hear street noise until early morning hours. Nice breakfast with terrace view of Duomo. I would stay here again with a different room.

Excellent view of the Firenza hot spots. Walking distance to everything! Hotel staff were extra supportive, knowledgeable. Wi-fi was very good and free. Nice complimentary breakfast...wasn't abundant, but set the tone for a nice day.

Great location and view

Posted Jan 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
If your primary concern is location, this B&B couldn't be better. It is literally right across the street from the Duomo and close to all the major attractions. It is simply amazing to be right in the heart of Florence. We had a great view of the Duomo from our room and from the terrace. Of course, we also were woken up by the cathedral bells every morning... Aside from the location, the service was very friendly. The downside was that our room was quite cramped. The wi-fi and satellite TV worked, but barely. The breakfast was continental.

Lovely B&B style hotel, nice and comfortable rooms and fantastic location. Staff were fantastic - went out of their way to help including providing ++gluten free options with breakfast. Couldn't fault it for the price!

Good place to stay

Just about as close as you can get to the centre- next to Gucci and views of the Dome from the terrace. Lovely old fashioned lift to 4th floor. Barbara could not have been more helpful. Great place to stay for Florence marathon.

combo of positives makes hotel excellent

Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: location and staff
Cons: not much - you get your money's worth
Location: centrally located and easy to walk to the major attraction
location could not be better. all major tourist sights within 5-10 min walk. hotel small - only six rooms, allowing staff to devote major attention to everyone. crowning touch is the breakfast room weather permitting) can be out on the top floor terrace with amazing view of the Duomo complex. rooms typically small but clean and well kept. overall experience is excellent because all little things are done well.
