“Florence Room with a View”
This hotel was in a good location for exploring the main attractions in Florence. Within 10 minutes, we made it to the churches, town hall, and Uffizi Gallery on foot. A laundromat was close by, as well as restaurants. The best part of our room was the view we had of the Arno River out our window. The Ritz is also located along the bus route, which made travelling to other destinations in the city convenient.
While this hotel has seen better days, the overall quality was good for the price. The breakfast buffet was well-rounded, with juice, coffee, milk, cereal, yogurt, bread, etc. We were especially impressed by the front desk staff who answered all questions with knowledge, patience, and professionalisim. They also made great suggestions for places to eat and gave us tips that saved time and money. Best of all, they asked us about other parts of our trip in Italy, and gave us suggestions for other areas, too.
If you're looking for a fairly centrallly located hotel with a great staff, view, and modest accomodations, this is a geat choice when visiting Florence.
