The only bad part of our experience was when we checked in they told us there was free breakfast. So we ate breakfast all days. When we checked out we were charged 50 a person for breakfast because when you book with Expedia breakfast is not free. We were mortified spending hundreds of dollars for breakfast that was only so-so, when you can eat in Florence very inexpensively.

Simply outstanding in every way!
I could not recommend staying at Rocco Forte's Hotel Savoy in Florence more highly. The hotel is perfectly located to explore all Florence to offer and the staff could not be more helpful. It is the first hotel in a long time, where I felt the staff were genuinely pleased to have us visit - it was just such a shame we weren't staying longer! We were treated to a complimentary upgrade, which was delightful. The food in Irene (the hotel restaurant) for breakfast and lunch was brilliant, as was the service. The Concierge was amazing - organising a fantastic dinner reservation and arranging speedy entry to the Uffizzi. We were so impressed, with the Rocco Forte service we couldn't wait to arrive in Rome where we were staying at Hotel De Russie - another Rocco Forte, which didn't disappoint either. We will definitely be back!

We recently stayed at Hotel Savoy for 4 nights. The location is one of the best in Florence. The Duomo, Uffizzi Pointe Vecchio, Accademia, St Croce, etc. are all within 3-10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staffs are very courtesy, helpful and rooms are also beautifully furnished. We also like the restaurant very much and ate three dinners there. Breakfast was very good with plenty of selections and we also ordered some food that were not displayed. We were very impressed by the vinegar and olive oil the restaurant put out on the table. Especially the vinegar has been aged for 12 years and has a syrup kind of velocity and tastes smooth and a bit sweet. After getting used to the vinegar and olive oil at Hotel Savoy, we could not stand the vinegar and olive oil in any other restaurants we tried later on. I wish we had ordered couple bottles of vinegar from them before we left. This is the hotel we want to go back again.

We had a great experience visiting Florence and staying at the Hotel Savoy. My only complaint with our stay was the rock hard beds. I complained and the desk manager said the beds were new and maybe I just need to have another glass of red wine, which I did not find humorous. No offer to solve the problem.

We were very excited to stay at this hotel because the location was amazing. We were extremely disappointed with the overall experience at the hotel starting with the check in. The rooms were small and the hotel reception was not helpful when asking for simple requests. I would not stay here again.

Amazing - best hotel experience ever
We traveled all over Italy in high end hotels and this was by far our best experience. Not only was breakfast included, but it was an amazing breakfast buffet that allowed you to also order fresh meals off the menu, like eggs, oatmeal, and much more. The staff was increadbile from the desk staff who were so helpful and spoke amazing English, to the doorman who always got the door and greeted you each time you entered of left. The servers and bar tenders made an effort to get to know us. I have many food allergies and my mom is also gluten free and they quickly remembered who we were and what our specific needs were. The location is perfect and live music is right outside your door daily. I cannot say enough about this hotel.

Super Location!
Return visit to Florence and wouldn't stay anyplace else. From the doorman to the front desk, concierge and dining staff everyone was welcoming and helpful. The Savoy is centrally located & access by car is not too challenging having to navigate the pedestrian zones in city center. Rooms are a bit on the small side but well appointed...

Stayed at this property 16yrs ago and it is still fresh and in great condition. We had a piazza facing room which was great and on the top floor so relatively quiet based on how busy the piazza always is.
