Good location just outside old FlorencePosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Convenient location for those of us who have cars
Cons: instructions for the garage
Location: nice local neighborhood.
Very nice, convenient hotel with friendly staff. Parking garage directions could have been better...quite complicated to reach even though it is 200 meters away. Once we figured it out it was good. No real restaurant (just very good frozen dinners in the bar)

Fantastic FlorencePosted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Ease of access to city centre and brilliant staff
Location: Perseus restaurant and Da Tito restaurant well worth a visit.
Hotel was perfect for our purposes - 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Staff were brilliant - really helpful and friendly. A couple of really good local restaurants.

Great Hotel and wonderful staffPosted Feb 19, 2014
Had a lovely stay here a few weeks ago. The staff were incredibly helpful - gave us maps, helped with train times and suggested places to eat. Hotel is not a far walk from the centre. Rooms were always clean when we got back and the breakfast was great too.

Nice hotel, short stroll away from the main sitesPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Staff were friendly and courteous, and the hotel was well presented. Room was very comfortable.
Cons: The food - breakfast was OK, but ordering anything from the bar, everything was frozen. Would expect a little more from an Italian hotel!
Location: 15 min walk to the centre of Florence, very easy to get to.
No complaints at all. Ideal for a short stay in Florence. A little bit of a walk to see the main sites, but nothing too strenuous. Would happily recommend to others.

Great hotel!Posted Feb 13, 2014
The hotel was great. Very clean and very friendly staff. Rooms were comfortable. The location is abit far from the main centre, but if the weather is good the walk is fine. I would say its a good 25min walk to the central area. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Loved it all.Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: We liked everything about this hotel. I have nothing negative to write.
Cons: I cannot thing of anything that would improve this hotel. It had it all.
Location: The location suited us perfectly. Just on the outskirts of the centre, about a 15 minute walk in the mornings.
We had the most wonderful stay in this hotel. The staff were so welcoming, the rooms were beautiful and the breakfast had everything you could want. If we returned this would be our first choice of hotel. Even though it is slightly out of the centre, it suited us, we enjoyed the 15 minutes walk in the mornings.

Good for visiting FlorencePosted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: Location to town is perfect.
The hotel is good and close enough to walk to most of the tourist sights. We booked a suite as we have a young daughter. The suite had a balcony overlooking the square which was nice but the 'lounge' area was a narrow room with a sofa and desk only. The TV was in the bedroom so you couldn't sit on a sofa or chair to watch TV. The 'lounge' area is pretty pointless really. However, the hotel is well kept and staff were great. Parking is limited on street but the hotel offers secure underground parking 200m from the hotel at 10euro a day.

Pros: The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and cooperative. They gave us excellent dining and touring suggestions and were very patient.
Location: Easy to get around city, 15 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, but the C1 bus was just a couple of blocks away and took us everywhere we needed to go.

Nice hotel not too far from the centrePosted Dec 21, 2013
Pros: Quiet hotel, quiet location
Cons: Could offer evening meals - maybe they do in the summer/high season.
Location: Just outside the centre of Florence, about a 10/15 minute walk to The Duomo (Cathedral).
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely, quiet stay here in December - there weren't many other tourists about. The staff were polite and helpful and the room, although small, was very comfortable. The hotel didn't offer an evening meal, except snacks, so, as we didn't want to walk back to the centre, the choice of restaurants was fairly limited but we found 2 very good ones none the less. We will be returning next year.

Little Gem in FlorencePosted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: The Hotel was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities staff were very professional, helpful and very friendly which made the hotel very comfortable
Location: The hotel was 10 minutes walk from the main attractions making it easy to get to. The hotel had several restaurants located near the hotel of which
We went to Florence in December for a break and stayed in the San Gallo Palace hotel, I must say the hotel was a little gem. The staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. We upgraded to the Superior Room which was very roomy for a city hotel. The room had all the amenities you could want and the breakfast was excellent. A special mention must go to ezzart the barman was so helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for him. He advised us of several local restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, which included the Taverna Del Bronzino Ristorante which was wonderful. I must urge you to visit this Ristorante which is superb. Umberto, Marco and Stefano made our evening a night to remember. A big thank you to the San Gallo Palace I have no hesitation in recommending the San Gallo palace Hotel to other Expedia clients wanting to stay in Florence.
