Great location for everything!

Pros: location and remodeled apartment
Cons: No elevator
Location: exceptional....right in the heart of Florence
I loved the apartment feel and the updated remodeled look! It was in the center of everthing, shoppes, restaurants, historic sites. The only thing that was not pleasing was the fact that we were in a building without an elevator. It didn't bother me too much, but my elderly cousin had a difficult time going up 4 flights of stairs. Otherwise, we were very pleased with Signoria Apartments.

Location and comfort

Posted Aug 23, 2012
Pros: Location and the design/decor were outstanding
Cons: Stairs, stairs and more stairs
Location: Unbelievable. Steps from the piazza signoria minutes from duomo.
Unbelievable location and a beautiful room. Large, well appointed and truly beautiful with decorated vaulted ceilings and exposed stone walls. The master bedroom, bedroom loft and pull-out sofa suited our family of 5 perfectly. And Fabio was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Free wifi and laundry facilities were a nice plus as was the full kitchen. Only two drawbacks: - the air-conditioning couldn't keep up with august's 38 degree heat and the apartment became uncomfortably warm. - the stairs up to the 3rd floor were a bit of a grind after a day in the heat.

Friendly service staff. No lift access. But sevice staff will help you to carry up the apartment. 3 floors high. Carry a few baggage up myself because feel bad to let the service staff to assist himself alone. Omg. Power tripped twice. Disappointed experience. Air-con is not cooling. Kitchen oven not working. Hob lighter is not working. Small staircase access to above bedrooms.

Musty and Mildew

Posted Jul 10, 2012
Pros: Classic entrance to the overall building apartment block.
Cons: Itchy feeling from mold and mildew throughout the airless apartment.
Location: Easy walk to everything
Location was not as stated on Expedia but a secondary site. Apartment was basement level with musty smell in everything and mildew on the walls.

We had quite a hike (we walked maybe 15-20 minutes from the train station) to get to the apartment office and then another 10-15 minutes to get to the apartment. Danilo was very nice but our room was still being cleaned when we arrived there, so we dropped off our luggage and threw a load of laundry in so we could get out of the way of the maids. Washer was in Italian so had to figure out how to use it. The ad said "washer and dryer", but there was no dryer, so Danilo showed us where the laundry rack was. It was so humid our clothes never dried fully, so we had to go find a laundromat, which was just up the street around the corner. We were there two nights and the A/C did not work - we hiked over to tell Danilo on the second day and he said he would come by to fix it, but he never did. The "shower" (an exposed shower head in the corner of the bathroom, no curtain) flooded when my daughter took the first shower there (Hint: be sure not to step on top of the drain - water seaped out into the bedroom and covered the bathroom floor!). Still the privacy was nice and the apartment overall was pretty comfortable and easy enough to walk to attractions.

Comfort & convenience for the family.

Our apartment is located next to the town Library, along the Corso dei Tintori street, very close to Piazza Santa Croce. Indeed the location is excellent, within walking distance to all of Florence' key attractions. The apartment itself is situated "within" a local college of arts/design (sharing the same main entrance). The folk from Signoria Apartment is most helpful. Rather than having us running to the office (situated in another street) to collect the key, he met us at our apartment, helped us with our luggage, show us how to use the place and briefed us on key local points etc. He even helped us to book a taxi for our departure. Our family of 4pax fit comfortably into the place, which consists of a small entrance hall with a sofa bed that sleeps two person, a room with a queen bed, a well-eqipped kitchen at the back. And interestingly, above the kitchen is an attic-like place which can sleep another person comfortably. The only minor thing is that the apartment has only sky-window, hence there is not much view from the place. Across the street is a supermarket, the place is thus very convenient. Overall, to us this is simply perfect, would certainly recommend it.

Great apartment in a great location

Posted Nov 13, 2011
Signoria Apartments was a beautiful apartment in a great location. Just steps away from the Piazza del Duomo. The rooms were bright, spacious and clean. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The kitchen had new appliances and everything you would need to make yourself at home. The staff was english speaking and very helpful. The only drawback was there was no hot water the morning we were checking out. All other days were fine.
