Great location and friendly staff

Posted Jun 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved our stay here! The staff recommended a great place to eat, and was very helpful. Breakfast is served right in your room, which is so nice. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. We were worried it might be noisy at night, but as soon as we closed the window we couldn't hear a thing. Next time we visit Florence we will be staying here again!

Room with a View

Posted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Breakfast delivered to your room on a tray each morning
Cons: tiny room, but not a big deal
Location: Perfect - over looking the Duomo
I stayed at the Soggiorno Battistero for 2 nights - as everyone mentions, the location is fantastic.. It is about a 10 minute walk to the station, which is no problem - except for dodging sightseers... definitely not worth getting a cab unless you have children. As I was a single traveller, my room was tiny and very basic. A single bed and a small but very clean bathroom... It was great as I only really need a bed to sleep in and somewhere for a shower, there is so much to be done in Florence that I spent no time in my room. The rooms are secure as is the building..Check in is on the 3rd floor up the elevator. The breakfast is served on a tray to your room, which includes fresh brewed coffee/milk, orange juice, a pastry, a boiled egg and toast (this came in a packet, i did not eat this) and a fresh warm muffin baked in the morning. My view was breathtaking, looking over the Duomo right outside my window... there were 2 windows to close to block out any noise from the street, and they worked.. I did not hear any noise... Although the square does become quiet in the evening. and isn't really busy until after 8ish. The hotel is very central to all the main attractions and markets and of course designer stores. I would stay here again for sure..

Parafrasere Forster: "Camera con (magnifica) vista

Pros: L'accogliente charme "shabby-chic"

Good location, sort of

Posted Jun 21, 2012
Pros: Close to a lot of things, including the train station
Cons: The noise from the bar downstairs and the 3+ flight of stairs with no elevator
the hotel is in a good location, right across from the Duomo. Unfortunately, there is a very popular bar just beneath the window. If we closed our windows, it was hot. if we opened them, we could hear the noise from the bar until 2 or 3 in the morning.

Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: air conditioning
Bed and breakfast hotel. The breakfast was toast, coffee, pastries, orange juice, and a hard boiled egg delivered to your room. The location was great. The room was very small but very clean. The only complaint was the air condition did not seem to work.

Perfect location

I could not ask for a better location! The view from the room was fantastic! Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Be advised, however that it is on the third floor with no lift. I highly recommend this hotel.
