Worst hotel experience ever

Check in was ok clerks rushed through the process and seemed as if myself and another guest checking in at the same time were interrupting them. Requested a wake up call at 5 am 3 times during check in...never received! I had a 6 am appointment. I picked up the phone to complain in the morning and it wasn't working! I was awake all night so I fortunately I wasn't late. The beds were horribly uncomfortable one of the beds squeaking every time I moved so badly that it kept myself and my brother sleeping in the other bed up. His stated his bed like sleeping on concrete. We checked in late and having to be up early were too exhausted from the long drive or we would have left and went to another hotel! However we were advised that they did not refund and traveling on a tight budget didn't allow for paying for two hotel rooms. No coffee in the room for the coffee maker and cleanliness was mediocre at best. I carry Lysol thank goodness. We advised the front desk staff the reasons we were dissatisfied and got absolutely no response. The girl looked at us didn't say a word. Took the room keys and went on talking to co-worker as if we weren't there. I have to go back in December and absolutely will sleep in my car before I would book another room there.

Pros: the one-time fee for my small dog, close to interstate
came to Florence to visit friends and family. Check-in was a breeze. everything was neat and in order. Little disappointed there was no refridge or microwave in room

Nice place to stay with a great pool.

Pros: The pool was clean and empty, and the staff were great! There was a woman, named Amy, working at the front desk, who really went out of her way.
Cons: The n/s rooms should be checked... ours smelled like smoke. They offered us a different room right away.
Location: Florence is about 45 minutes to the beach, but it has some nice restaurants and the people are friendly and welcoming.
We stayed here for a few days, while we were house hunting in the area, and found it to be fine. The pool was hardly used and we had it to ourselves. We were able to bring our dogs, and they were comfortable too. The staff were great, and very helpful when we needed directions and recommendations for places to eat. The hotel was quiet, and the grounds were nice. The breakfast was basic, but got the day off to a good start. We will stay here again when we return to the area.

I didn't take shower because the water couldn't go down through the tub. Anyway, I wouldn't come back again.

Pros: The Breakfast and the price
Cons: Remodeling
The hotel is a little bit old, the room has a weird odor… But the breakfast is delicious!!! I will go back for the breakfast.

Absolutely HORRIBLE DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!!!

WHEN WE DECIDED TO GO TO FLORENCE, WE BOOKED THIS HOTEL ON EXPEDIA.COM. THE PICTURES SHOWN DO NOT EVEN REMOTELY MATCH REALITY. THE BUILDINGS ARE ALL DEFUNCT AND CRUMBLING. THE STAIRS ARE ALL RUSTING AND CRACKED. THE ROOM WE WERE ASSIGNED WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. THE CARPETS WERE STAINED, THE WALLS WERE DIRTY AND HAD HOLES IN THEM. THE DOOR DID NOT PROPERLY CLOSE, THE DOOR LOCKS WERE NOT WORKING EXCEPT THE CHAIN. THE BATHROOM WAS NASTY, WE SAW WHAT APPEARED TO BE PUBIC HAIR OR SOME OTHER HAIR ALL OVER THE TOILET. THE BATH TUB WAS EVEN NASTIER LOOKED LIKE A HOMELESS PERSON SLEPT IN IT FOR WEEKS. THE VANITY SINK AREA WAS DIRTY AND HAD MULTIPLE CIGARETTE BURNS ON IT. THE PICTURED ROOMS SHOWED COFFE POTS, MICROWAVE, FRIDGE, AND LCD TELEVISIONS. OUR ROOM HAD NO HAIR DRYER (CORD CUT) NO MICROWAVE, A DIRTY WARM FRIDGE AND 1 TOWEL WITH NO SOAP. THE BED WAS ROCK HARD AND THE COMFORTER WAS FILTHY, I SHUDDER TO EVEN IMAGINE WHAT WAS ON IT. WE LEFT IMMEDIATELY AND CANCELED OUR BOOKING IN FAVOR OF THE FAIRFIELD MARRIOTT AND THE DESK CLERK DIDN'T ASK WHY WHICH MEANS HE KNEW WHY AND IT WAS COMMON FOR GUESTS TO LEAVE AFTER SEEING THE PLACE. IF YOU BOOK HERE BRING A HAZMAT SUIT....YOU'LL NEED IT.
