Nice hotel with unique room design.

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The unique design in the room.
Cons: Room walls and tiles look rather old.
Location: City is just a walk away.
Room had a glass wall for the shower which was fun and bar stools at the end of the bed. Room walls, tiles and carpets look rather old.

Great Hotel, Away From the City Centre

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Staff, rooms and decor, showers!
Cons: The hotel must consider providing free wifi, having to pay now days is simply not good enough, nearly every hotel provides it these days for free.
Location: It's Florence! If you don't know then why are you looking!!!
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, it's a bit of a walk from the city centre but only 15-20 minutes depending on your walking speed. The facilities are excellent, lovely modern surroundings, obvious attention to detail. The rooms are lovely, the LED lights around the bed are a particular treat and the bathrooms, especially the shower are fantastic, so good you almost didn't want to get out. Breakfast is the usual continental fare, but well done. Florence is a lovely city, we had a great time but the hotel was a great base to start from, and a great place to retreat to when the afternoon heat became too much.

Clean friendly hotel

Posted May 29, 2014
The staff are very helpful, and provided help with local information. The hotel and room were clean. The breakfast is good with a reasonable choice selection. I did not have any other meal there so can not comment. The hotel is set back from the road / street.

Excellent Hotel

Airport to hotel: The taxi service from the airport to the city centre is 20 Euros, plus 1 Euro for every suitcase. That gets you straight to the hotel in 15-20 minutes. Location: Tucked away in a cul de sac off Via Pisana. About a 20 minute walk to the town centre or 5 minutes by bus, number 6. The bus stop is a two minute walk from the hotel. Local area: Many restaurants and cafes that are used mainly by the locals. Very good. The room: Spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. The staff: Very helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Touring: The city itself has many buildings and monuments to see outside of the museums. Queues are quite large so pick the sites you want to see and maybe book in advance. 2 days are enough to see all the main sights and half a day for Pisa and Lucca if you have the time. Florence to Pisa, one hour on the train from Santa Maria Novella Station. You will need to take the red line bus from Pisa station to get you to the tower. Pisa to Lucca, 20 minutes from Pisa, a walled village well worth a detour on way back from Pisa. Buy single tickets for each leg of the journey as needed. It's a triangle so a return ticket would not cover it. You must validate your train ticket BEFORE boarding the train by putting it in a machine that prints on the date and time. Bus tickets can be bought from kiosks on the main roads. You must always validate bus tickets on the bus.

Great hotel and staff

Pros: Location Style Comfort Staff Price
Cons: Nothing in my opinion
Location: We didn't do much around the hotel as walked in to Florence early and headed back late. About a 20 min walk to the the centre of Florence.
Upon arrival we were greeted at the reception by a very helpful man who during check in told us about a upgrade offer which we took advantage of and we were so happy with the room we were given. A lovely funky comfortable room with a lovely view of nearby houses. The room looked great, modern and very comfortable. The room had pink fabric walls with the fibre optic lights built in, the bed was a great size and so nice to return to after lots of walking during the day. The shower was amazing and even a little LCD TV in the toilet. The rooms lights, air con and even do not disturb could all be controlled by a bedside control box. The staff in this hotel were all friendly and helpful and spoke great English, the breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of choice and great coffee to start the day. The hotel throughout amazed us, so modern, so comfortable, great staff, just a wonderful place to return to after hours of walking around the beautiful city that is Florence. We will return here without doubt. We plan on going back to Florence and every time we do this is where we will be staying.

Nice hotel, quirky..

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: friendly staff, excellent barman.
Cons: wi-fi access..
Location: 10 mins away from city centre, everything is within walking distance, excellent museums, shops, restaurants nearby.
Nice hotel, but the room we (friend and myself) stayed in the first night had a see thru shower! and there were some very loud and strange noises coming from another room close by for a lot of the night and then again in the morning.. There was no wi-fi, it could be accessed by paying a fee of 25 euro a night (which included the mimi bar, 2 beers, coke, water). The staff were friendly and courteous and we especially enjoyed the excellent barman. Overall we had a good trip and enjoyed the hotel, which was a 10 min walk from city centre but charging for wi-fi (considering all the coffee shops and bars give access for free) was awkward.

Mutton dressed as lamb

Posted May 6, 2014
The room is tiny, constantly smells of sewage, the tv is blocked by a high standing breakfast bar, the hotel never change the sheets and the bathroom feels like your in an areoplane. Plus point is the lady on reception who helped us plan things to do, so we could maximise our time out of the hotel. Additionally, it's shown as a VIP hotel on expedia and we did big get any automatic upgrade

Lovely hotel in a quiet area.

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Really liked the decoration overall. Very modern compared to other hotels I have stayed in in Florence. Friendly staff and very good breakfast.
Cons: I would change the baths as they were difficult to get in and out of and with no shower curtain the floor was pretty wet.
Location: Lots of lovely little restaurants close by and a pleasant 20 minute walk from the centre. Ideal location as is quiet to ensure a good night's sleep.
When we arrived the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not as large as expected but was clean and well organised. The minibar in our room was a great added bonus as it was included in the price of the room. Was given the option to upgrade for an extra 25 euros but didn't feel it was worth it for just a bigger room. If had better views or extras then would have considered. Breakfast was great and loved the fact that we could have a little glass of sparkling wine! Checked out with no problems but found added cost of room tax per night a little too much (4 euros per night). Would definitely come back to stay for a couple of nights.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff

Nice hotel in a residential neighborhood of Florence - close to the center but also well located outside of high-density tourist areas (a big plus for me). The staff is very friendly and helpful. We found good places to eat near the hotel and had lovely walks to all city attractions. The hotel offers delicious breakfast and the rooms are small but funky and comfortable.

Room was very cool.

Room was very cool with lights that resembled stars throughout. Bathroom was big though shower was a little hard to get out of. Staff was accommodating.
