“one of the best hotels ever”

This hotel was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a ton of hotels. It's in the countryside with not much in view, but only 10 minutes from the train station in Figline Valdarno. The view from the hotel was absolutely amazing, and they have a great area for receptions for weddings. The restaurant is also very good and had a big menu. The staff were the most helpful people ever as far as getting around the area and driving directions. They definitely went out of their way to help everyone that stayed there, whether it was by printing off directions for you or setting up tours over the phone. The two pools are great, and the rooms are a bit small but not an issue. I definitely want to come back to this hotel!!!

ERIC AND CHIARA PROVIDED TERRIFIC PERSONAL SERVICE ARRANGING LOCAL TRANSPORTATION ( PASQUALE WAS GREAT!) AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE IN RESTAURANT BY LUCIANO AND FAVIANO. SURROUNDING PROPERTY AND VIEWS ARE BREATHTAKING. TRAIN TO FLORENCE IS INEXPENSIVE, QUICK, AND CONVENIENT ONCE YOU GET TO THE STATION. CONS - LIMITED DINING OPTIONS, NO COFFEE IN ROOMS OR LOBBY, NEED TRANSPORTATION TO GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN WALKS AROUND PROPERTY - SUMMER VISITS WOULD PROBABLY PROVIDE MORE CONVENIENT OPTIONS AND ACCESS TO TOURS AND OTHER ON- SITE ACTIVITIES.

What a wonderful surprise in Tuscany! The perfect way to end a 15 day driving tour of Italy! Can't say enough about the front desk staff, and the restaurant! Hotel is a little off the beaten path, which was a plus for us, and the peaceful surroundings allowed us to relax again and enjoy the countryside and FOOD!! You will not be disappointed!

“What a find.”

Picking hotels off a website can be risky and this sounded too good to be true, but this is a 5 star property for a 3 star price. Location is superb, property is elegant but comfortable, staff were, by far, the most helpful in orienting us to the area, compared to any of our hotels in Italy. Most staff spoke extremely good English. Restaurant was very good although a little higher in price compared to restaurants in town. Greve in Chianti is only 15Km away and is very quaint although can get overrun with bus tourists for short periods of time.

“Absolutely Wonderful!!”

This place is beyond words. The service was impeccible! The hotel manager knows the area better than most tour guides and is always ready for any advice you might need. The restaurant is easily a 4 star quality restaurant. There was nothing on the menu I wouldn't order again. A little hard to find at first, but once you get their, it is easy to get back. Would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in this reigon. Easy access to Rome and Florence and you are not stuck in the hustle and bustle. Thank you to the entire staff for making our trip better than expected.

“Wonderful Tuscan experience!”

We recently returned from the most wonderful vacation we have ever had! The staff and facilities at Villa la Palagina were simply the best - a beautiful historic Tuscan villa in a gorgeous setting wtih all of the amenities. Modern yet historic, comfortable, friendly, helpful staff - wonderful food and accommodations consistently. Eric, the manager, went out of his way each day to seek us out and ensure that we were well cared for and gave us wonderful itineraries and tips for our Tuscan days as we explored the Chianti region. The hotel was even more beautiful than the amazing pictures we had found on the web. Fabio and the restaurant staff outdid themselves each morning and evening with fabulous food and service in a lovely setting. We can't wait to go back and share this with our friends and family.
