Absolutely super!

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, atmosphere, pool, restaurant, bar, everything!!
Location: The hotel is located a little outside the centre of Florence, but with a free shuttle bus to the centre numerous times a day, it is perfect.
We had a fantastic time at the Villa Olmi. It is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Our room was gorgeous and the views and grounds spectacular. Such a relaxing break. The hotel is a little out of the centre of Florence but the hotel provides a free shuttle right in to the centre, so this is not an issue. In fact, with the lovely pool area, it was great to get out of the hussle and bussle of the centre for a day and chill out by the pool. A taxi back to the hotel in the evening if you didn't catch the shuttle was not too expensive anyway and there are plenty of them about. We went for my partner's birthday, and in passing had mentioned it to reception. On the day of his birthday when we ordered breakfast to our room, they brought a gorgeous little cake! What a treat for him and such a kind gesture. The staff are absolutely fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back!

Very nice hotel outside of central Florence

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Decor, staff, grounds
Cons: More frequent shuttle bus service to central Florence
Location: A nice family run restaurant called Osteria Bruccia Tegami very close to the hotel. You can go there if you don't fancy going back to central Florence
We stayed here as a couple in September 2014. It's a short taxi/bus ride away from central Florence but that means it is very quiet, has huge grounds, a swimming pool and is also very quiet. The hotel runs a daily shuttle bus (9am, 10am and 11am, and then 5pm, 6pm and 7pm) to Florence and around those same times back as well, otherwise you will need to take a taxi or a bus which goes to the main road not to far away. The hotel itself is beautiful and decorates in traditional Italian style. The staff are very polite and helpful. The restaurants is nice but expensive (our breakfast was not included as we decided to eat in Florence instead as it was 16 EUR each otherwise). The grounds around the hotel are beautiful, you could spend an hour just talking around or sitting on th benches reading, it is very quiet. My room has all of the amenities, and was cosy. However I wasn't fond of the wooden floors or wooden beams on the ceiling either, but that is personal preference - if you don't like that either I'd suggest asking for a different room in advance.

Quiet hotel in lovely grounds

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The location, relaxed atmosphere and friendly caring staff.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind!
Location: Free shuttle to Florence helps. Superb local osteria for alternative to hotel restaurant.
One of the most relaxing hotel stays we have had anywhere in the world. Staff are extremely friendly and provide outstanding service with nothing being too much to ask. The location is superb with the grounds beautifully maintained and the pool is excellent. The room was comfortable and the antique furniture added character so it felt like we were staying as guests in a friend's house rather than as paying customers of a corporate chain. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Schönes Relaxhotel in toller Stadt

Posted Sep 11, 2014

Posted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com

Great Villa on the outskirts of Florence

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: The stting, the staff.
Cons: Hotel bus needs a return journey (from the city) at 16:00, so you can get back to the hotel in time to change, relax/change b4 having and evening out.
Location: Florence €25 away by taxi or the free bus.
Very pleasant hotel with incredibly well trained staff (eg restaurant staff actually look at you; reception noted it was my birthday; night staff got some noisy Americans to shut up at 1:00am). Excellent grounds.

The perfect BabyMoon in Florence!

Posted Sep 5, 2014
My husband and I loved everything about the Villa Olmi, except for the dining options (but that was so minimal). The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We especially loved sitting on the terrace for breakfast listening to the sound of the fountain. We typically like to stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but, since this trip was meant to relax and have some romance before our new baby arrives, the relaxing atmosphere at Villa Olmi was perfect! It's just outside of the city and offers a free shuttle service several times per day. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was attentive and helpful. We truly had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back.
