El Patio is relatively small hotel located in the entrance of the Flores Island. Room are big and comfortable and A/C and Cable TV. There is a basic restaurant with a limited menu at good prices. The pools needs more maintenance, particularly cleaning leaves, etc. The hotel personnel is very helpful (English speaking might be a challenge). The area might look intimidating specially at night. Also a disco/bar is next door and during weekend might play loud music. Overall I recommend this hotel considering price and value.

Within Walking distance to everything importantPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The receptionist was kind, helpful, gave us insight into the local history, informed, educated and delightful. They don't give free coffee, but around the corner are some great coffee shops .

Cheap hotel with a cheap feelPosted Jun 21, 2013
Location: I would recommend staying in Flores if you want more to do-am or pm. This hotel is in an unused side street without much around it.
I had booked a couple of hotels in Santa Elena to be close to the airport during our recent travels. This hotel was the last one that we stayed in and was by far the most disappointing. The decor was outdated and the room felt stuffy and yucky. I am easy to please, but after the other hotels that were actually less money, I was disappointed.

Good for Die Hard Frugal PeoplePosted Apr 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The air conditioner churned away all night. There were no windows, no view, on a main traffic artery. The clerk was accomodating but assured us that there wouldn't be any coffee in the morning. It was within walking distance of a nice shopping mall next to the gangplank of taxi boats who do tours on Lago Flores. The cleaning ladies smiled, were very kind.

Close to the Flores causewayPosted Mar 16, 2013
Pros: Location Nice staff
Cons: Shredded foam pillows
Location: Close to Flores, but cheaper
Pleasant, convenient hotel. Not luxurious, but plain and comfortable. The staff was able to give us our room slightly before check-in time. The desk clerk was very helpful and courteous. Hotel is a very short walk from the Mall and the causeway to Flores, but much cheaper than actually staying on Flores. Pillows not very comfy, but otherwise fine.
