Solamente dos detalles...

Posted Apr 11, 2013 on Hotels.com

Remains of Tikal

The nature around the hotel is beautiful, but it's for those looking for isolation and tranquility, but definitely not for those who want to get in contact with the beautiful cities surrounding the Peten Lake (Flores Island, San Miguel, Santa Elena, etc.). Rooms doesn't have TV and if you want to go to the urban areas or visit the remains of Tikal you should be ready to pay a lot for taxis (no buses and definitely can't go by foot)

Amazing

Amazing hotel specialy for those who want to be isolated to everything and depending upon the hotel for everything - is far from Flores (and small island that looks as a favela but with restaurantes and movement by night) - the cabanas are very well designed and confort, I loved mine, but bad for tv adicts. The same group has another hotel close to the urban center Santa Elena.

Almost Wonderful

Villa Maya is one of the nices places at which I have ever stayed. My room was beautifully decorated, bright and airy, comfortable, and with a large balcony overlooking the lagoon. The scarlet macaws between my room and the lobby/restaurant/pool area were beautiful. The pool was very nice and the restaurant was pretty good, as hotel restaurants go. I just had two quibbles. Villa Maya is very isolated, and they have no shop at which to buy sudries and snacks. I really wanted a bag of chips - but it would have been a 22 km taxi ride to buy one. There is no in-room Wi-fi. That is very out of date.
