“Quiet place at the south end of Duval”

For the price and prior Keys experience, this hotel was nice and simple with that perfect small and quaint feel. Fully furnished kitchenettes with mini stove would be perfect for long stays. It has that old motel/hotel feel with small sink and tubs but unless your paying for a Mariott or wanting more modern look and features than get a hotel at the east end of Key West(non old town). Its that or be ready to seriously dish out some cash. Minutes from Southernmost Point, quick walk to small grocery store, and Duval. Bike rental right nearby and beach is just south (2 to 4 blocks). If your the type to spend more time in a hotel than enjoying the surroundings then the TV will disappoint (17 to 19 inch) The bed is okay, but sleeping in a waterbed for over 10 years it is hard for me to judge. They have a morning complimentary breakfast (bagel, orange, banana, and coffee). I would not plan your stay around it. It was something to be desired. All in all, i would go back there, the location is perfect for a nice quiet night without hearing the chaos of Duval on a rowdy night.

Really good location, everything is in walking distance. Staff was nice and friendly but it needs a little more TLC. Breakfast is unimaginative - primarily cheap. Welcome to the seventies!

We loved our stay at this hotel; the location was great, the service was excellent, and the rooms were exceedingly clean. It is trying to be environmentally friendly, so some amenities are not available, but for the price? Fantastic. Our room was upgraded to a suite, and we enjoyed our time there tremendously.

“Perfect for a weekend trip!”

We attended that "Duval Uncorked" Food and Wine Festival (also recommended!) and were looking for a cheap place for 1 night. We were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by the manager, who check us in and gave us maps, "must do" activities, and told us all the ins-and-outs of Key West. The room was very clean, but a little noisy given it's right off the street. If you're looking for a luxurious hotel, this isn't it...but if you're looking for a comfortable, clean, friendly place for a weekend trip...I highly recommend. Our room even had a fully furnished kitchen which would have been great if we were staying longer. Also, there is parking right out front...which is priceless in Key West. Easy walking distance to anything you want to see in Key West. We will be staying here in the future.

We spent one night in this hotel we really appreciated it. We were welcomed with an upgrade to a double room, it was very large with a litlle kicthen, a sofa and a sleeping room. The swimming pool was nice and it is warmed when cold. The breakfast is correct, no very copious, in accordance with the price of the room. We recommend it to you for a week end or 2 nights.

“small, cozy, but nice folks”

The AC window unit was loud, and people partyed in the pool area just outside our door until 3:00 a.m. On the plus side, the people were extremely nice and helpful.

Rick the manager was a pleasure to work with...Motel was clean, intimate and quiet and not far walking distance into town....would definitely stay here again!
