“Fine Older Court Motel near the Action”

This place was fine. The rooms are small and funky, many with kitchens. The bathroom was very tiny, and it took maneuvering to close or open the door, but everything worked, and it was clean. The continental breakfast was meager, and there was no coffee one morning. But, it had parking, and it was hassle free. The court filled with palms and a pool was lovely at night. This place was close to land's end, the lighthouse and Hemingway House, Duval street restaurants, etc. Aside from the size of the baths, and meager breakfast, it worked out very well.

“Nice Staff, but ANTS!!”

The hotel generally was nice. There were even some dishes we could used in the cupboards. The major defect of this place: ants. There were ants in the kitchen, closet and bathroom. Little traps were set out to either catch them or poison them, but it wasn't enough. The room needed to be fumigated and resealed. We stayed in room #8. I'm not sure if this was the case in all the rooms, but we left a day early from the hotel because of it and went back to Ft. Lauderdale.
