“nice view and large room!”

stayed here in Marathon for Lobsterfest since Key West was sold out. It was a 45 minute drive and it was a nice room with a living room. They also had a bar by the pool which was fun.

“Sombrero Resort”

Friendly desk clerks, quiet atomosphere, inexpensive - that's what I asked for... simplicity and it was comfortable for me. Grocery stores and Kmart very close. Pool was not heated, but the air was cool when I visited. Restaurant was not openened, as described.

“Sombrero Resort”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The view from our room was great, especially seeing all those nice boats a stones throw away. The bed and room were very nice and comfortable. Staff was friendly. A nice central spot to spend a few days in the Keys.

we were very impressed with the room it was very comfortable and roomy we had a great view of the pool on one side and the marina on the other side. the pool was very clean and the tiki bar was a great feature for our enjoyment pool side. the staff was very friendly, we requested additional towels and received them very quickly.we are already recomending the sombrero cay club to friends for a trip back in November.

“Nice place to lay your Head”

Hotel was nicely located at the midpoint of the Keys just 2 miles from Sombrero Beach. The first room that was assigned to us had old carpet and hadn't be renovated. We requested another room and gentleman behind the desk gladly accomodated our request even with limited vacancy. The new room was wonderful. Wall-to-wall ceramic tiles, cabinets and furniture was updated. We had a nice view overlooking a deep water canel leading to the ocean. They were in the process of updating other rooms during our stay; for future visits outdated rooms shouldn't be an issue.

“would be happy to return”

Good position half way down the Keys convenient for visiting Key West and other attractions. Swimming pool very good with tiki bar, but other than this cannot see how they can charge such a high daily resort fee. Overall condition of the hotel very good and seems to be in the hands of new management.

“Give the Sombrero a try”

We go to the keys every year. After our favorite place was demolished in favor of new condos a few years ago, we have been looking for a new favorite place. We found it this year at the Sombrero. The location was convenient to where we like to go and the room was great. If you are looking for a nice clean place to spend your time while not fishing, I suggest the Sombrero resort. Great Keys getaway spot.

this was my third annual birthday trip to Marathon, I must say that Sombrero was the best.
