“good price, good location, quiet,,,,,”
had a quiet night ,woke up to a beutiful day,
“Perfect Budget-Friendly Location”
The parking is an issue since the construction shoulder is being used as the lot for Bonefish, but it is not a long walk from YellowFish if you park there. The room was exactly as expected. It was clean enough and there is a $10/day charge if you want the maid to make up the bed. However, they will give you fresh towels and take out the trash without additional charge. The window a/c worked great, as did the larger-than-expected fridge, electric stove with oven, and microwave. The best part was the grill outside each room. Each evening, we relaxed on the covered deck by the water and had wine. One evening, we bought charcoal, steak, shrimp and lobster tails at the Winn-Dixie and had a great BBQ. There are good bars and restaurants within driving distance and Key West is only an hour away. We would definitely stay ay Bonefish again.
“Comfortable and Pleasant”
We wanted to stay as close to Key West as possible in a non-smoking room without paying outrageous prices. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived but we were pleased with what we got for the price. The room was freshly painted and very clean. The beds were fine, we slept great. There was a lot of room as far as the bedroom, the kitchen and eating area. The bathroom was a bit small but we were very pleased with the accomodations based on what we paid. We had NEW blinds on our windows and curtains. There were pots and pans and dishes. The only thing we would have liked to know before we went was that we needed to bring dish soap. It wasn't a big deal because we went to the grocery store anyway to get food. The pool was clean and nice and there was a small beach and a covered deck. The view was nice, everything was clean. There were several tables and chairs and grills outside of the cottages. Our overall experience was great. We were comfortable.
“Cute little resort”
I enjoyed being there right on the water. Nothing fancy but cute. I would definitely go back. Because of the time of year we basically had the place to ourselves.
“Decent for the money.”
Hotel was the least expensie we found in the Upper/Middle Keys for that evening. The size of our room was great: bedroom area was sectioned off from kichenette, and we have full kitchen facilities. Beds were comfy. Courtyard of the resort was nice, and the ocean view was spectacular. Walls of room were a little degraded, caved in in spots, etc. Our only real complaint was that there was a dampness, almost moldy, to the air in the room. Woke up the following morning kinda stuffy and coughing a little.
“A little too old keys style”
Needs a little TLC. It was as advertised, but a bit too bare bones for me... Pool very small. No water at the shore line at low tide, thus not very attractive. Good location half way to Key West. Nice restaurants and other conviences.
“Okay”
Our room had plenty of space with a kitchen and dining area. The bathroom was really small though, and the shower needed updating but was clean. The pool's heater was broken so we had to go to the Yellowtail Resort's pool (apparently they have the same owner). It had a neat patio area but not a beach like the Yellowtail. Overall it was decent (we've stayed in worse), but would probably try to book a room at the Yellowtail next time since it had the beach & pier area we were looking for.
“Funky Old Motel on the Way to Key West.”
OK as a way stop on the way to Key West. It is a funky, old property cobbled together with three others separated by a small residence, an abandoned trailer park and a closed restaurant, Consists of 12 units between US1 and a small beach. Parking very limited just off US1 along shoulder. Had to walk about 250 ft along the hwy shoulder to the office (on another property). It would be a stretch to call it a resort although it has a small pool and a ramada on the "beach". Room was clean w/AC and kitchenette, Road noise minimal, Nearest conveniences two miles west on Marathon key. With a little imagination it could be featured in a John D. McDonald or Randy Wayne White novel. Beach Cove Resort restaurant and Leigh-Ann's Coffee Shop are a couple of nice places to eat. Both are about two miles west.
“Confortable and nice resort”
I enjoyed a lot!
“wish they would of credited us”
if they would of gave us the extra nite for the same as the other room it would not bin so bad.they were not over booked that extra day. Not very professional! we were very upset that they didn't credit us for the aggravation for the first nite.since they told us the maid was in that room all morning getting it ready.no power, no air, fridge off. wow she didn't see the room was still not ready.
