A Pseudo-hotelPosted Sep 17, 2014
Not really a hotel and not worthy of the name. Staff indifferent to customers, 1 out-side bar and inside bar not open even when stormy outside (excuse: legal reasons). Staff do not deal with problems e.g. screaming youths at 3am each morning appears to be a norm that is tolerated. Pleasant beach area and 15min walk from main drag...

No acces to the beach......Posted Sep 3, 2014
Nice building, good location and great hotel staff but the first thing that make me sad was the beach... helloo if u go to key west u looking for nice and clean beach... second the swimming pool it was gross animals and things next to the kids swimming pool; and the beds totally uncomfortable my back was killing me. To $$$$ for poor hotel.

Fantastic Hotel & Facilities, service IrraticPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Bare Back Billy's jet ski tour (amazing) and the trip to the dry tortugas (take a sea plane) BOTH AMAZING !!
Cons: Hotel Service at breakfast and evening meal
Location: Just a great place, get out and explore, there are some wacky dudes out there (walking ghost tour to be avoided)

Nice but DisapointingPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Historic, Pools, View, Location, Courteous Staff
Cons: Rooms need updating, i.e., they feel worn and outdated for the price.
Location: Beautiful location. Easy to walk anywhere and close to scooter rentals.
It's a nice, historic hotel on beautiful grounds in a great location. Each member of the staff that we encountered was courteous and helpful. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. However, we don't feel like our room – a King Ocean Vista – was worth the price. It generally felt run-down. The draperies were falling apart. The water pressure in the shower was uncomfortably strong. There were no slippers. The TV was tiny. For the price of the room, we expected more.

Relax on the waterPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Amenities were fantastic
Location: Walk to Southernmost Point, Lighthouse, and Hemmingway's home. All the outdoor activities you could want are onsite.
Great small beach with two pools. Plenty of onsite activities and dining. Pool staff was great, even bringing out popsicles and frozen towels to help you keep cool. Close enough to walk to the Southernmost Point, but take a cab to Mallory Square.

Nice facility with an interesting history. Went diving with South Piont Diver's, coordinated through hotel staff. Enjoyed our 3 night, 4 day stay.
