Barely Okay

Pros: Not much
Cons: Everything
The hotels location was nice. The room, bathroom and grounds were less than clean or appealing. I will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Tropical get away
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: Beautiful inside rooms and plenty of amenities
Cons: Our villa was too close to road for our taste (306)
Location: Awesome!
We came here for a birthday celebration/romantic get away. The resort was recommended to us by a friend. The property is beautiful and very tropical. Our villa was very nice inside. Our only complaint was our villa was a bit too close to the road for our taste. If I was there with kids or my friends I would have cared less. We asked if there was another room but sadly there was not. I would go back but call the resort directly and get a villa a little farther from the road. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room needed updating with new ammenities
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Rooms need to be updated
Location: Great fishing, kite boarding and snorkeling next door to the resort.
Our room was in the older part of the resort. They had newer rooms that might have been better equiped with new ammenities. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. The leg on the end table was ready to break. The description of the room stated particial ocean view. We could not see any part of the ocean from the room unless you left and went outside. When we checked in they gave us 2 keys on wrist bands. I haven had an actual key for a hotel room in 10-15 years, everywhere else has the credit card type keys. The picture of the pool in the guide did not look like the pool at the resort??

Everything we expected and more!

Pros: How clean, tidy and well maintained the resort was. Great value too.
Location: Great, central location on Islamorada. Lots of choices for dining and recreation.
This was a wonerfull experience for my wife and I. I chose the hotel simply based on a convienient location and the pictures on their web site. Having never even been to the Keys before I had no idea what to expect and in truth we were a bit concerned about it. It was so much more than we anticipated. The staff was amazing, the service was everything one could ask for and the place was spotless and very well cared for. We extended our stay there and will go back if we can. I have already recomended this resort to friends who are planning trips to Florida.

What the Keys should be

Property was clean & quiet. Walk to very good restaurants and outdoor bar next door. Landscaping and layout added to the experience. Oceanfront clean seabreeze and comfy chairs also a plus. Wifi not the best.

Islamorada hotel.

We were given a room in the older section of the hotel. We found the room a bit small and the bathroom far too small. There was almost nowhere to put your things in the bathroom or your luggage in the room. The air conditioner worked well however it was extremely loud even when set to low setting. The breakfast was ok but a little limited. The grounds of the hotel were quite nice with lots of seating for everyone. The hotel was not overly busy when we were there and it was pleasantly quiet in the hotel and the grounds (translation- almost no kids around). Good location for Keys although a little far to Key West as the traffic to get there is bumper to bumper and slow. Would probably recommend it to friends.

Good Value and great location

A family style old school resort. Really didn't use any of the services or free rentals, but the resort does not nickel and dime you for things like Wifi etc. All included in resort fee. Breakfast was good except it would be nice if the scrambled eggs were made from cracked eggs rather than liquid eggs. I ate the hardboiled ones instead. Front desk was very friendly. All in all, a pleasant stay. Note this is not the place to stay if you want to swim as the water is too shallow.

A nightmare

Pros: The location
Cons: Room and beach
Location: Great but go less then a mile away to The Postcard Inn Resort
This hotel was very bad it was a motel no resort. The rooms are so small when the air condition is on dirt blows out. You cant close the bathroom door because the toilet is directly in the way the bathroom is directly in front of the front door.Spiders was in the bathroom all on the ceiling. No elevators had to carry suitcases up 2 flights, it look like the stairs was about to fall apart. I was so upset I paid extra just and moved less than a mile away a Postcard Inn. The Beach was really dirty beer bottles and everything. Pay extra and get your room at Postcard Inn. Much better resort and beach! !!!!!
