Gem of a GetawayPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Big clean rooms, comfy bed, great view, friendly staff and a great price.
Cons: The only down side is the road construction noise in Jan of 2015, and i am guessing this will not be going on a whole lot longer?
Location: Resort was so wonderfully self contained that we didn't wander much this time around
We leave an hour up the road and travel down to the Keys a lot to break away. We've stayed in a million different spots, from "high dollar" to "hobo" and the Drop Anchor really stands out as a wonderful little Mom and Pop hidden just off the road in Islamorada. Loved our room (#9). View was spectacular. Only 18 rooms all totaled, so quiet and not overcrowded, even when full. The beach was set up so well for Gazing and Relaxing, complete with BBQ's to borrow and well hung hammocks. Thanks, Anchor folk, we'll do it again :)

Right on the WaterPosted Jan 21, 2015
This is an older motel that we were happily surprised by during our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a real Key's experience. Just like it should be. And don't be afraid of the trailer, we loved it. We had beautiful views at sunrise, it was very quiet and family oriented. We found restaurants close by and would recommend Ziggy and Mad Dogs for dinner along with a tremendous breakfast place at Mangrove Mike's. And for entertainment Theater by the Seas is just down the road.

Is not worth the price....Posted Jan 16, 2015
We have been visiting the keys with the prejudice that we should expect high prices for everything. we thougth this place was ok, but comparing it with other places we knew afterwards it was too expensive for what it can offer. Owners are not interested in what customers needs or being a little friendly, they told us to have lunch at an awful place nearby.....money....money....

Charming hotel with picnic area next to the seaPosted Jan 11, 2015
Good place to stay in the keys. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Best thing about the place is the picnic / relaxing area at the back. A large sandy space equipped with hammocks, picnic tables and bbqs. Perfect for enjoying sunset.

albergo graziosoPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Molto caratteristico e tranquillo

Very cute, very "Florida" hotel on the waterPosted Jan 3, 2015
We stayed two nights over New Years for our honeymoon in room 17 (beach front trailer) and absolutely loved it! The place is very well kept, grounds are manicured and immaculate. Staff is friendly and helpful - gave is tips on where to get best prices, etc. Pool is nice, plenty of chairs, hammocks and picnic tables. It's located on the water but it's not actually a beach (which are actually hard to come by in the keys anyway). We did get into the water from the step ladder and were able to swim in the ocean. There are a couple of restaurants located off the same side road, which you can walk to or drive a short distance without having to get on the main road (that had quite a bit of traffic when we were there). Overall, we loved it! The trailer was a unique experience and we would definitely go back.

Pleasant resort with own beachPosted Dec 31, 2014
Quiet location just off highway 1. Much better than Key West. Not too many options for eating out without using car. Our room 10 had its own kitchen.
