“Awesome stay”

We went for our first weekend away without kids since our third was born 19 months ago. It was the low season, but the resort was awesome. Everything was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, for the most part they remembered our name throughout the whole stay. There was a small sign announcing that the resort was in the middle of a $35 million renovation. We would have never of even known the difference. This is the type of place to go and never leave. We did choose to eat dinner in the nearest restaurant, 20 minutes away, The Island. It was very good, fresh fish galore and great casual atmosphere.

“Nice relaxing getaway”

The only negative comment..limited food/restaurant choices for those staying for a week. Otherwise, the staff couldn't help you enough!! They always had a smile on their face and would stay "you're on vacation"

“Old Florida with today's comfort!”

Growing up in Florida made me yearn to take my two daughters(8, 5) on a memorable trip to what I know call 'old Florida' down in the Keys. I found the perfect place in Hawk's Cay. Beautifully landscaped with the old Floridian feel but with a touch of Ibiza poolside feel. Our suite was bright, well furnished, and cozy. Both floors had a deck that looked out onto the water inlet. For parents, the Indies club is what sets Hawks Cay apart from other resorts. Our kids never wanted to leave. They couldn't decide which they loved more: spray pool, putt-putt golf, or arts & craft area. Only downside was not having internet access from our room but the lobby worked for us. You won't want to spend much time connected to the office but if you must, the lobby is comfortable and with a lovely view of the pool. Next time we stay in South Florida, we've decided to make Hawk's Cay are homebase instead of Ft. Lauderdale where the rest of the family lives. It was that memorable.

“Better than anticipated”

From the time we walked into the front desk we were impressed and very satisfied at "finding" such a great location. The facilities are right up there with some of the better hotels we have been to in the past. We are looking forward to going back soon

“Great Place for Families”

Enjoyed our 1-week stay at Hawks Cay tremendously. We had a basic room, but it was clean and comfortable. There are planned activities for kids of all ages. 3 heated pools to enjoy. Younger children have a blast on the pirate ship & water slides. Fishing, boating, kayaking, etc. are all available. Must see the dolphins in their outdoor ocean area. Highly recommend Hawks Cay.

“Unpretentious Luxury”

My mother, sister and I had a fantastic time at this resort. We found the hotel amenities, adult pool, the strip of beach surrounding the lagoon (where drinks were served), the gift shop, and the poolside and marina restaurants on the island to be first rate. We enjoyed the mix of families and couples, of all ages, and found the other guests to be kind and friendly but unobtrusive. The hotel staff were upbeat and helpful. The only suprise was the $20 per day fee charged for "incidentals" (towels, etc.) for staying in a villa ($10 a day for an apartment), but otherwise we have nothing but praise for this resort.

“This is the place to stay in the Keys!”

We found this to be a perfect location for a visit to the Keys. We are a family of four and had a great week! The Resort was very nice, and the staff outstanding... friendly, accomodating you name it, no complaints here. All kinds of water-sports are available right there. My teenagers loved it. We found some really good Seafood resturaunts near by, plus it's not that far to Key West for a day trip. The next time we visit the Keys, we'll be hard pressed to stay anywhere else.
