“Romantic getaway”

We stayed at Hawk's Cay from 12/17-1/1. We enjoyed the tranquility pool (21 and up), the lagoon, fitness center and comfort of our room. There are a few restaurants at the resort and they're average to good. Catch of the day at Tom's Harbor House was excellent. We found the staff courteous and helpful. They really have something for everyone. The fireworks display on New Year's Eve was fantastic!!

“Had a great time”

Hotel has a no tipping policy which I saw others complain about in reviews when I was selecting our hotel. Of course the tip is still there they just automatically add 18% to anything you purchase in the resort. This does make things more expensive if you weren't counting on it but it's also makes things easier for you. It does have the downside in that they also charge a $25/day resort fee and employees that don't care don't really need to because they are still getting a tip when they are done with you. Thankfully that was only the case with a few people and most of the staff is great. Duck Key is a great place with good local restaurants right down the road in Marathon Key (Try the Cuban place called Juice Paradise) if you want to get away from the few choices at the hotel. Lunch is only usually available at the Beach Grill, not bad food or drinks but limited menu gets boring. Fun things to do both at the hotel and surrounding areas. Overall we had a great trip and have put it on our list of places to visit again. Oh and the Dolphins are just fine. Unless that person complaining is a Dolphin expert they should check the facts first. Federal and State inspections occur multiple times yearly. If the Dolphins were really unhappy they could easily jump the fence separating them from the ocean channel.

Resort was excellent. Unfortunately, there are not may restaurants in walking distance but nevertheless it was excellent.

Hawks Cay is a awesome place to stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was pleasant and nice. The grounds were gorgeous, tropical and lush. There is a spa, 3 pools, plus a saltwater lagoon. There are also plenty of restaurants to chose from and if you don't want to go out there is room service. So if your looking for a tropical paradise Hawks Cay is the place to stay. You wont be disappointed. I will be going back.

The resort is awesome. Very clean, very relaxing, employees were very helpful & pleasant and the my 6 year old son wanted to move into the hotel!!!

“Great Hotel & very good location.”

We had a great stay at this hotel and look forward to a return visit. We did not eat at the hotel. We had breakfast at Little Italy Rest about 5 - min north, or Mangrove Mike's Rest. about 12 min north in Islmarada. Both have big helpings of great food for a very fair price. With four pools & lagoon the hotel does not have the crowded feeling. Even though the weekend was sold out, we were always able to get to chairs by the adult's only pool. The grounds are nicely kept, but I think since you pay a resort fee, that the extras (tennis racket & balls, fishing rods, etc.) should be at no charge. The staff is very freindly, and always willing to help.
