Nice relaxed beach resort

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere, pool, suite
We had the Ocean side rooms and they are little suites including a kitchen, a screened porch and a little patio. Even though the furniture wasn't new or fancy, the hotel was well kept and very pleasant to stay in. (I liked all the paintings by Guy Harvey on the premises!) It just felt like a relaxed beach vacation resort. The pool area was very nice and we were able to enjoy the pool alone the week before Christmas. The beach has plenty of shaded places, but is actually some concrete with a little sand over it. The ocean can be reached via some stairs.

Nice hotel on the ocean

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: Room, staff and location.
Location: Location is in middle of Islamorada and there are water sports on location and nearby. Also Theatre of the Sea and Diving museum is nearby.
We had a very nice room w/an ocean view. The room was clean and had a screened in patio and outdoor patio that was very enjoyable. The staff were all very nice from the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff by the pool. There is water sports company right on the location. Had I known how nice this room and hotel was we would have booked more days there rather than in Key West. Location is nearly in the middle of Islamorada. Its not a five star hotel but is very nice.

Very relaxing, nice place to stay

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: The staff was AWESOME...we ended up extending our stay a few days. Was real nice having a screened patio to sit out and enjoy coffee in the morning.
Cons: The cleaning of the rooms just need a little more detail. Our bathroom sink drips and they really need to replace the toilet seat.
Location: Location is perfect.
We had a great time in Islamorada. This was a nice place to stay and look forward to coming back. The kitchenette is really not so much, tried to cook 1 meal and didn't even have a knife to cut an onion, but if you aren't planning on using the kitchenette the restaurant has amazing food, just plan on paying up for it a little bit.

This is a great place.

Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: Great ocean views.
Cons: The AC units can be a tad loud.
Location: Plenty of adventure options from the resorts activity desk. Key Divers is a great PADI shop 2MI south...
We enjoyed the short stay here, the staff is top notch and the cafe at the beach is a great menu and value compared to other places. Its sort of old school, but in a good way.

Great hotel on the beach.

Posted Dec 17, 2014
This is an older, but updated hotel. Our room had a small but complete kitchen with dinnerware. You cannot miss the road sign at MM82, The room was large and clean. All rooms have a screened porch which faces a beautiful shaded courtyard. The restaurant/bar/pool are on the beach. There are water sports available and a fishing pier. There are other bars and restaurants close by. Had a great time.

Key West Visit

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Great location since we wanted access to the Duval Street action but didn't wanted a hotel outside of the old part of town. Really enjoyed the 4 small pools and interior gardens that gave good privacy.

Great beach and pool area!

Posted Dec 10, 2014
We had a great stay at the Islander. I felt like the room could have been a little cleaner. There were stains on the rug. I was also disappointed that the beds were full size instead of queen. We had trouble getting towels for the pool. The hotel seemed to not have many pool towels. My kids loved the pools and the fishing pier. The hotel was conveniently looked in Islamorada.
