Quiet, clean, motel with water viewPosted Apr 15, 2014
I liked this motel because it was quiet and the front desk gave us an upgrade to a comfortable king bed. The room had a water view and a BBQ area by the water where one could chat to other guests. The atmosphere was friendly and it was half way to Key West. Hog Heaven is a wonderful place to have a meal nearby, it is what I imagined the Florida Keys to be like.

Kingsail Resort StayPosted Apr 15, 2014
Stayed for two nights and was entirely pleased with the facility. Great Value. Well Located in the middle of the Keys. I commuted down to Key West to day trip to Dry Tortugas National Park on Garden Key. Would stay here again.

Kingsail stay 4.8.14Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Good rate for what you get. Convenient location.
Cons: Needs some renovations but then it would cost more to stay
Location: Lots of restaurants, bars and of course water!!
Check in staff seemed stressed but pleasant Room was clean and tidy Room was comfortable size but older finishes Matress was extra firm and pillows were not comfy (bring your own if you can!) Room had screen porch which was nice in the evening

Short Stay - just what we needed....Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Easy to get in and out ( note - no elevator for the second story room )
Cons: Meet our needs -
Needed a place to stay after being in Key West all day and wanted to get a jump back on the return to Fort Lauderdale at the end of our spring break. Made a late reservation and got a nice price for a king and 2 doubles - just what we needed for our party. Hotel was right off the road - and check in was simple. This is an older property but has been fairly well maintained. Room was large and there was a mini fringe to keep our drinks cold - bathroom on the small side but like I said met our needs perfectly. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a good night sleep
Average but spacious accommodation.Posted Apr 11, 2014
Everything you need as all the basics are there, however my room looked like it was in a large garden shed. Pleasant setting at the rear of the property but overall just adequate for a short stay. Found the area disappointing - main road with shops and motels.

This is an older motel.Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Quiet, clean, and inexpensive.
Cons: Provide in room coffee.
Location: A very good breakfast and lunch café is directly across the street and a great Cuban two seafood restaurants are about 1/2 mile away.
As I wrote earlier, this is an older motel and is not " up scale" and is probably not for everyone. However it is clean and quiet. It has a small equipped kitchen and a nice pool . While not on the ocean and no beach access, it is convenient to U.S. 1 and local businesses. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to our friends.

Stay at Kingsail Resort is not comfortable at allPosted Apr 8, 2014
There is a table and two chair, refrigerator; microwave, and that is about it. Can't check in or print the boarding pass. Not public bathroom in case you can't check in and need to use it. I would not recommend to book this resort or motel.

OUR FIRST TRIP TO THE KEYSPosted Apr 8, 2014

Not what we expected.Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Not too much.
Cons: The staff for one thing.
When we opened the door all we could smell was bleach. The room was bare bones, and I have nothing good to say about the washroom. There were slats missing in the blinds, and while we were in bed, smoke from another guest filtered into our room. There were no soda or ice machines available, and the hotel clerk didn't seem to know where we could get a soda. On checking out, she could not provide an invoice as she couldn't find it.

Much too expensive for what they had to offer. The outdoor facilities where nice, but the room was like a 1970's movie. Part of the hotel rooms have been renovated, but we ended up with an old room. Missing towels, Wifi never worked, needed to get a new toaster (small kitchenettes included). We feel that we didn't get a new room because we booked through a website. Just a feeling. The lady at the front desk was very nice, but other than providing me with a new toaster (on the spot), she wasn't able to solve the Wifi issue. Will not go back.
