I am so disappointed in my stay at La Concha. They failed to inform us that the hotel was under major construction. It was so loud, the building rattled. The pool also is closed, which is the whole reason why we came. When I showed up to the hotel and even during check in they did not disclose this information. They provided no discount or accommodations. The hotel rooms smelled musty and moldy. My head was spinning by the end of the day. I couldn’t sleep and I woke up with a headache. I am 6 months pregnant. We needed to check out early for my health. To be honest, the hotel should be shut down till construction is over. Please avoid this hotel!

Very rude and unprofessional staff. Worst check in experience - lady checking us in was very rude and unprofessional and was getting irritated by routine questions about property, like where is the parking, is there bellman service available etc. Property itself is very rundown and undergoing renovations.

The hotel was under construction!!! The elevators we used by the construction workers taken a long time get, the noise in the lobby/bar/breakfast area sooo loud you couldn’t stand to be in the area. The pool was closed, the gym was closed, the roof top deck was closed! Our room with a king bed had no room to walk around the end of the bed…

Love it! The staff is so accommodating and welcoming. The rooms have niiiice space, we didn’t feel smooshed together! The unannounced construction was a bit of a bummer…but we can’t wait to see the outcome!

The newly renovated rooms do not provide storage for clothing. The shower floor was very slippery & was an accident waiting to happen. We were not informed that our breakfast was part of our stay. We paid $129.00 resort fee but only had breakfast the last day we were there after asking the waiter.

We stayed Monday through Saturday for Spring Break. Hotel was under renovation. Very clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet with good food and fruit options. Pool was okay - pretty small, but with an upper level patio with bar, on 2nd level low rooftop. Rooms are decent size. Thin walls - could hear my neighbors tv blasting at night. The shower needed some sealant because water would leak while showering. Right on Duval St. - in the middle of all the action. Walking distance to everything. No need to rent a car or Uber around.

Second time we have stayed here. It was unseasonably cool in Key West during our stay. We did not realize building had no heat system as most (all?) buildings in KW. We got some extra blankets and slept comfortably but room got pretty cool in the evenings before bedtime. Renovation seems to violate the historic feel of the establishment.

For the price, this stay was incredibly disappointing. The hotel appears to be in the midst of a rennovation. Outdoor pool was dirty; couldn’t find the indoor pool even after getting directions. Our room was ok but windows were filthy. Got a couple free breakfasts because they didn’t have a room with two queen beds even though that’s what we reserved. I wouldn’t stay on Duvall street again — pricey and loud. We had a good time just had expected a better stay.

SMALL rooms. 1. Bathroom is so small you cant stand in front of sink to wash hands or brush teeth. (And we are not big people) 2. Furniture is so large, there is approximately a 12 inch walkway between bed and tv stand. 3. Asked 3 times about where pool is located. We were told second floor…. There are no signs or markers to indicate the location. Finally found it. Yes, we were told about renovations in progress, but that didn't make the room any bigger ( and it was already renovated). So overall not worth the money for such small quarters. Shop around.

Hotel is under construction. We were told to use an elevator that was quite far and separated by stairs from our room. There was an elevator right outside our room that didn’t say it wasn’t in use but then when you took it down to the street level, it put you in a construction zone. The pool was drained. I don’t think it was worth the $ given the state of the hotel.

The lower cost rooms are the smallest I have seen in some time. You can barey walk by the foot of the bed it is so close to the entertainment center. The rooms are remodeled, but only partially so and the two rooms we stayed in both had numerous small issues. One of the rooms smelled musty, so we were moved to a second room which was fine. The windows are sealed with a second solid window that is dirty, so not a good view out. I see no way to clean them because of the way it was done? The hotel is still being remodeled and currently they are prepping to repaint the exterior. I would pass on this place until it is complete. Maybe the final result will be good.

The property is going thru an construction upgrade, when making reservations this should be information that definitely should be noted or relayed to the requesting guest. My room had no view and was right above the construction area, I'm on vacation and expecting to rest and all I hear early mornings is work crews. Not the best way to enjoy a vacation

When we arrived to the room the toilet seat was only attached on 1 side so it swung freely from side to side. With this in mind was it cleaned for the previous guest or the cleaning staff too lazy to inform maintenance. Closet door would not stay closed and the closet light was activated by an automatic switch when you open the door so… light was on 24 hours a day. Heat would not work. It was 62 degrees in our room and the heat only made it colder. Room was recently renovated (shower was really nice) but still had masking tape on the ceiling light in bathroom. Not sure who inspected this room after renovations but they didn’t pay much attention. They do have complimentary bikes and the bell man was very nice. He made up for the mean female bartender.

Ringing in the new year
Went for New Year’s Eve. Hotel (and Duval street) very busy but staff was still mostly attentive and helpful and pleasant. Well appointed room with comfortable bed. A good breakfast including most everything you might expect. Really easy access to everything on Key West
