Pros: Great location, within walking or biking distance to everything to see and do on the island.
The total staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area on how to get the most for your money spent on the activities. We stayed in room #3 which has its own separate entry on the backside by the pool, very convenient:) During the brief rain storms we went around to the front and played backgammon on the porch and watched the crazy people run and ride down the street through the rain. Loved staying in an adult only B&B, mostly older crowd during our stay. Free parking was a bonus, never really needed our car after our arrival, rented bikes for 3 days right from them and had a blast.

Excellent B&BPosted Dec 3, 2013
The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Plenty if parking rooms very comfortable (we stayed in room 8). Lovely veranda outside our room where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. About 5 mins walk from Duval Street. Staff booked excursions and also hire bikes from the B&B. Would highly recommend the Wind and Wine sunset cruise.

Clean, comfortable and Nice StaffPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: We loved the old house, the cleanness and the staff.
Location: Walking distance to Duval St.
Oh wow! I spent my honeymoon in La Pensione. I wanted to stay in an old house and this hotel was the best option. For us was very intimate and the staff made us feel like family. Cindy & Roland are AWESOME. The room was clean and organized and always with all we need. In my next visit to Key West I would like to stay in La Pensione again.

Active location..Staff made the stay great!Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Helpful staff. Room was spacious. (#5). Place was spotless.
Cons: Wish lobby was air conditioned. Wanted a TV in room. Wish bathroom had a counter. More hooks to hang things up.
Location: Everything is nearby. Outstanding restaurants walking distance. Ask staff where to eat.
Hotel was nearly perfect. Breakfast was average as all B&B breakfasts are. Place was spotless. Location great but a bit noisy. Get a quiet back room but you may not have a view. We stayed in # 5 upstairs. Pool unused but clean. Very active location. Would return. Would have liked a jacuzzi. Avoid upstairs rooms if you have a lot of luggage. Easy to find. Easy to return to after a few drinks. Genuine Key West bed and breakfast. Parking fine. House well maintained. Caring staff. All of them want you to be happy and return. I have no complaints without nitpicking. I would have liked a quieter location but that is a minor issue unless you are staying in hotel all day long which no one does. Some quieter places are boring and this one is not boring.

Coming Home to Key WestPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Cindy and her staff make you feel completely at home -- great ideas of things to do and help making reservations. Rent bikes directly on site!
Location: Rent bikes, take the Fury snorkeling or sunset cruises, dinner at Pepe's (oldest restaurant in town, off the beaten path), Hemingway House, of course.
Used to live in Key West, so wanted to share it with my fiance -- La Pensione was like coming home. Beautiful 1891 mansion converted into an inn -- high ceilings, spacious rooms, ceiling fans, balconies, pool, free parking and breakfast, 3 blocks from Duval, but just far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The true Key West experience!

Great place to stay!!!!Posted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved everything about this B & B. Stayed there for 3 nights, and had a great experience. The best part is absolutely Cindy, the manger. She is so nice and informative, and makes you feel like you are staying at your family's house. Her famous 'love waffle' is a must have. The rooms are very clean, well maintained, and right size for us. If you want cold temp, the AC is new and working well. The bed was the only thing we wished to be firmer. Great location - everywhere is accessible by walk or bike, which is rentable from this hotel. The pool is really clean, and we used it pretty much every night, even after the long swimming in the beach during daytime. You really don't need a car there. Actually It's very hard to find parking in Key West, but they have complementary parking lot in the property as well. I would definitely come back again if I happen to stay in Key West again in the future!

The staff was extremely helpful and went well above and beyond expectations to ensure our visit was a pleasureable one. There was a slight mix-up due to Expedia, however, the staff worked around their guidelines to facilitate our visit to maintain the absolute highest standards!
