On coast, great sunset views

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Cons: Charged daily rate of $20 for use of rods, kayaks, bicycles & breakfast. only there one night so only had breakfast. When booked in told had free use
Location: Not a lot the Outback which used to be next door adjoining Hampton has closed.
Spacious self catering unit. Only booked for one night on way to Key West. Had we known more about resort may have booked for two nights to take advantage of kayaks, bicycles and fishing rods which you are automatically charged for.

Enjoyable

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Cons: Breakfast was nice to come down and sit by pool. Would nice to have a little more variety in breakfast options
Enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect right on the water. The views were beautiful. The kids had so much fun fishing using bikes & kayaks. Great location with plenty of close choices to go out to eat.

Disappointing, but maybe expectations too high.

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Pool area
Cons: Cleanliness.
Room was dirty. Screeching sound from outdoor air conditioner kept us awake. Two of us staying and had to ask for a second washcloth every day. Pool was nice, but hot tub was dirty. Breakfast was adequate. Patio furniture cushions were torn and dirty.

Relaxing resort, perfect position

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: relaxing atmosphere
Cons: room decor and kitchen facilities
Location: ideally placed for restaurants, fishing and travelling up or down the Keys.
We had a perfect stay at La Siesta over Christmas. The room was huge, comfortable and close to the pool. The beach and dock a few steps away and the grounds were well maintained. Breakfast was plentiful if a little repetitive and the housekeeping was efficient. Kitchen utensils could have been better though, very basic for anyone who actually wanted to self cater. Our ground floor position made it very easy to access the beach and pool whenever we liked. All in all a fab resort for experiencing the Keys.

Great Reunion

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Manicured sand. Beautiful grounds, soft colored buildings and palm trees everywhere. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. CKayaks, fishing poles, and bikes
Cons: There was a nice thatched roof area right on the water . A happy hour with frozen drinks would have been nice.
Location: Perfect location with great restaurants and rentals within a very short walk.
Had a little family reunion at La Siesta. First impression was "what a relaxing looking place". Very friendly girl at the front desk. Nice sized room with a great view. Beautiful grounds, soft colored buildings and palm trees everywhere. Walk to restaurants. Clean walk in pool. We had a great time and was definitely worth the 14 hour drive. We will be back.

It's a decent resort. Pool is really nice and just the right temperature. Rooms are a bit outdated though. Nice that Kayaks and breakfast is included.

Excellent Hotel, Perfect Location, Beautiful View

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: N/A
Location: Conveniently located in the middle of Florida Keys
We spent 4 nights at La Siesta. We truly enjoyed our vacation there. Weather was very nice (80 degrees during the day and 70 at night). Pool View Suites have balconies, over looking the pool and have ocean view. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony. Resort has kayaks which you can use anytime for free, and we took full advantage of them enjoying the entire shore. Resort also has bikes and we went biking around the area, and truly enjoyed our time out. Pool is warm and very nice and there is also a jacuzzi. We took a day trip to Key West and stopped at several parks in the way. We had breakfast every morning by the pool side. Resort Staff were very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay at La Siesta and would recommend it to everyone
