Fantastic Place, Great People!Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Attentive Staff, Clean and updated rooms, Pool
Cons: Pull curtains in room to keep temperature down during the day as our unit had one A/C in the bedroom and living room got warm.
Location: This is one main block over from Duval St but just across the street from Hemingway House and only a few blocks from the southern most point.
This is a fantastic hotel. It is out of the fray of all the night life but still close enough to walk or bike. The staff is friendly and attentive (Especially Alex at the front desk) Our room was a great 3 room suite with a living room, bathroom and bedroom. The bed was comfortable even if the room was on a the small side. This is NOT your typical chain hotel and has its quirks but it definitely a place I would stay again. They have a great little pool that has a poolside bar/grill and is also the location for breakfast in the morning. Overall a great find even for a bit of a hotel snob like me. Just FYI this is not your fabulous resort where they are going to wait on you hand and foot and bring you room service.

Great location, walked to everything we wantedPosted May 19, 2015
First time to Key West. Our 33rd anniversary and wanted to see the sights. Located one block off Duval St was great. Quiet with a small pool and bar. Our room was large and quite comfortable. Would stay here again.

My girlfriend and I love this place; our room was clean and comfortable - and the location is great as a jumping-off point to walk to any part of the island you'd like.

Perfect historic Key West hotel.Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Historic feel but the rooms were upgraded. The plants and trees along the buildings and walkways. Welcoming staff.
Cons: Parking to check in was a little bit of a challenge. There are only 4 spots on premises but the designated parking is only a block down the street.
Location: Perfect location. Hemingway House. Six Toed Cafe was delicious for breakfast. Shopping, restaurants and dance clubs along Duvall St.
This hotel was everything I hoped for in Key West. Quaint, secluded, lots of plants and trees. The walkways between buildings was beautiful. The pool is the perfect size for the hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The room was small but we did not intend to spend much time there. The location was ideal being one block off Duvall St at the entrance to the Hemingway House. It was quiet except for the roosters at 5am but I think you would get that anywhere in Key West! I can't wait to go back!

Quaint bed & breakfast type hotel.Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Proximity to most attractions. Staff very kind & friendly! Clean room, nicely decorated. Beautiful grounds!
Cons: The noisy air conditioner, and the exterior door slamming. ALso, a shelf in the bathroom by the sink would be helpful.
Location: Restaurants, bars, Ernest Hemingway house, Truman house, Zachary Taylor State Park, Lighthouse, Southernmost Point, Mallory Square, too much to list.
Very welcoming staff, couldn't do enough for us! All the staff were very kind & friendly! Hotel is close to most attractions, i.e. Duval St, Southermost Point, etc. We walked to most attractions and then rented bicycles to explore the other side of the island. Room small but adequate for our stay. Very clean & nicely decorated. Would be nice to have extra space to place items, especially in the bathroom. Noisy air conditioner. Exterior rooms have to be slammed to close which is very noisy. Grounds are very pretty. There is a small pool with a bar and even a corn hole game area. It was enjoyable to sit outside and eat our continental breakfast which consisted of yogurt, cereal, milk, bagels, ham & cheese croissants, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, bananas, apples, orange juice, coffee, tea.

GREAT!Posted Mar 5, 2015
Location: The Conch train and tour bus are 3/4 of a block away. Hemmingway house is right across the street and the Truman Whitehouse is close.
The location is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. It was all good!
