Nothing good to sayPosted Jul 28, 2014
This was the worst experience I've ever have. The staff is very rude, only one parking per room. No visitors allowed. The room was not properly cleaned. You have to leave the room at 11:00 am but they don't let you enjoy the facility after check out time. The swimming pool is very small . The price is very high for the service they offer. I would not recomend this place to anybody.

nice hotelPosted Jul 20, 2014
Cons: The bathtub was very slow to drain.
The room was clean and well appointed but we were puzzled by the picture window in the bathroom. The covered deck with the fan was fantastic for sitting and looking at the water. The lady at the front desk was very professional. Would definitely rent here again.

Quiet resort on the waterPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The peace and tranquility.
Cons: The pool needs to be cooler and they need to work on the water pressure and the amount of hot water available.
Location: Not much to do around the hotel, but that's why we chose it.
We loved the secluded environment of this resort. The views are spectacular. The property is gorgeous. The room we had was lovely. The downsides.........the pool is way too hot for being in the Keys. There isn't any real beach area to swim at (they have a breakfront and tide pools). The water pressure is terrible and there is hardly any hot water for the showers. I'd definitely go there again, but we'd get a bigger suite with a kitchen.

Hotel nearby for fishing tripPosted Jul 16, 2014
Facility was older but well maintained. Staff nice but rather stick with tight rules around everything. For price we were paying, it never felt like the customer was top priority. Odd experience.

Customer service was horriblePosted Jul 9, 2014
Rude and pushy staff. They appear to have little concern for the customer... it's all about the bottom line with these guys.

GetawayPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: landscaping and cleanliness
Cons: Keep business behind the scenes.
Perfect getaway. Best sunsets I have seen in a long time and I live on the gulf coast. Not for convenience of proximity to restaurants, stores, or gas. For relaxation and beautiful scenery.

Quiet, like I like it.Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The location. Good, fast to-go breakfast. Nice staff. Good dock and snorkeling onsite.
Cons: The onsite restaurant will be a blessing.
Location: A boat rental place is right next door. Snorkeling is nice - look for the lobsters in the bay.
I wanted to get away from the hustle of Largo and West so we settled on Long Key. We were not disappointed. We were welcomed with a smile and asked daily by the manager if all our needs had been satisfied. The breakfast is quick so you can get back to your business of relaxing in a hammock or pestering the lobsters just off the beach area. There is a nurse shark that patrols the dock come dusk. No worries, I snorkeled and was never afraid of a shark or any other fish. Our room was clean and well-maintained. The shower is small, but I never had any problem getting around. Lime Tree Bay is quiet. The daily pace is slow and laid back as it should be in the Keys. The dock is nice and we had no problem docking our rented pontoon. I would recommend to anyone passing through the Keys.

Ees OkayPosted Jun 27, 2014
It is what it is. New beds were being delivered to some rooms but the Kitchenette room had an old bed & sofa/trundle. Room was ok, price was pretty much the going rate around there and for a quick stop over night it was adequate. Outdated, gulf side murky & a bit stinky, could use a major influx of $$ and updating. It is what it is

Somewhat disappointingPosted Jun 23, 2014
Although when you go to the Keys you need to expect that many of the hotels/motels are casual and not filled with amenities, this one lacked the luster we were looking for from a pool and water access perspective. The pool area was not great, and other amenities were just not available i.e. couldn't get ice past 10 pm and even then it was only a small container; you can't check in after 9:30 as office is closed; the towels were not even worth providing; no central air to make the room comfortable especially in the bathroom; no option to have a late check out which meant you had to be gone by 11 am. All in all, for $267 a night, I wanted more for my money.

Very nice accommodations in a beautiful settingPosted Jun 21, 2014
We stayed for two nights in June. The room was extremely nice, thoughtfully decorated, well maintained and very clean. The key is so narrow (maybe a hundred or two hundred yards) that if you open the room windows front and back the sea breeze off the Atlantic comes through the room facing the Gulf. Very pleasant!. A very nice sandy area down by the water, and guests gather in the evenings to view spectacular sunsets. As with much of the Keys, instead of an actual sandy beach you are faced with a rocky and not-particularly-inviting water entry; as a result, many guests opted for Lime Key's very nice swimming pool instead. Over all, we enjoyed our stay very much and found it a bargain as well.
