First time in keys

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Me and my wife stayed here for a week recently and had a good stay. Never being to the keys before we weren't sure what to expect. Overall the resort was excellent spot to unwind and relax. The accodomnations were right on the mark for the room rate. The staff was helpful and courteous. When the restaurant next to the resort is open it will make it an all around great spot. No complaints we enjoyed our stay.

Felt like we didn't belong

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Grounds are very pretty. Beautiful swaying palm trees. Beautiful views. Room was very nice and very technologically advanced. Remote controls TV, air,
Cons: Better front office attitude. Cleaner room. Better communication with expedia when booking rooms.
Location: Right on the water. Short drive to restaurants and shops.
Beautiful grounds. Front desk staff greeted us by telling us they didn't think the room was rented out, even though I booked it on Friday for a Sunday night stay. There was someone's partially eaten bagel on a plate in the refrigerator. Room could have used better cleaning. The room itself was huge. Two bedrooms, too oversized bathrooms and even 2 kitchens. Both bedrooms opened to the walk out balcony.

Clean, up-to-date hotel by the water

Posted Oct 14, 2014
The hotel was very clean, the staff was entirely welcoming and nice. The room was up-dated and was very comfortable. The pool almost looks like an infinity pool, as it is kind of like off a small cliff over looking the ocean and they have very nice cozy areas to lounge by the water. I can't wait to return to Lime Tree! Very pleasant experience!

Pictures are a bit edited.

Pros: The air conditioner worked
Cons: Bedding and towels need to be a bit newer, like the 21st century. I felt like I was stuck in 1970.
Location: You have to travel far both north and south to do anything. Nothing to do here. State park and beach is the only close area.
The place was old. Yes and the parking was not near the room. The room was small and well quite boring. The beds were soft, the pillows a bit hard and our toilet needed at least 4 flushes to clear the bowl. The shower was tiny, no bath. Towels were very stiff and small. If you go there bring your own. There is no beach. That is hidden. The water comes up to the property but when we were there the sea grass accumulated in the rocks and an area sectioned off and smelt terrible. The pool was salt water. Didn't use the hot tub, it was averaging 87 to 90 degrees every day, who wants a hot tub. It is located about half way from two larger towns. You have to travel at least 15 miles to get to any thing. Only one local store with minimal things. No restaurant near by.

Stay for weekend wedding

Posted Oct 7, 2014
The location and views were excellent. The 2bedroom suite was very spacious. I would have preferred softer pillows though my daughter thinks they were perfect. The room overall was well stocked with kitchen appliances and cooking items. The new restaurant will be a great asset to the property.

Thank you for your comments. We are so excited about the restaurant opening as we agree it will be wonderful for our guests. Agreeably we have fabulous views and being in the middle keys is a good location for a day trip to Key West... We hope you will return again.

Little slice of paradise

Great beachy resort for the laid back type looking for a quite relaxing keys stay. Beautiful grounds, great for soaking up the tranquility of the keys. Just be careful with rooms with connecting doors, as you can hear EVERYTHING in the adjoining room. We even smelled our neighbor's cologne leaking in one morning. But totally worth it!!

Will be back

Location: Next door to the hotel is a business to rent boats, kayaks and paddleboards for the day. Key west is about an hour away.
We stayed in the townhouses on ocean side. Very clean and nicely decorated. There is a pool to use which was very clean. On bayside there is another very clean pool and hot-tub, plus the Sandy area with hammocks and loungers to relax on. View of the bay at sunset is pretty. There is a shallow area to swim in. Free kayaks to use. Nicely landscaped. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back....
