“Great View”

Great Hotel in a great location! Marina side rooms have a great view at a great price. Pool and pool area were clean and well maintained. Only flaw was a small room, but was quite clean and A/C worked great!

very impressed by this hotel. It is older but it is well maintained and our room was cute and clean. That makes all the difference. The price was right and we would stay again. The pool was nice to relax by and you have Coconuts bar and grill right next door for cocktails and snacks. The staff was very accommodating and super nice.

“Can't wait to go back”

My husband and I went down to Key Largo for the July 4th weekend. We brought our Siberian Husky, so I decided to rent a studio suite. We were on the 4th floor with a large balcony (not private) overlooking the Marina. The room had a full kitchen - very nice. The Coconuts restaurant next door allows dogs and even brought Lucy ice water and dog treats! The John Penkamp coral reef is a must see! (but don't forget the Dramamine!). We will definately go back!

“"Keys atmosphere" for a low price”

We were hoping to find a hotel that had some character to it (i.e. felt like the Keys and not just a generic hotel room) but we did not want to spend a fortune. The Marina del Mar gave us exactly what we wanted -- a lot of atmosphere at a very reasonable price. The employees were friendly and helpful, and our room was spotless. We were upgraded to marina view without asking, so we had boats, palm trees, and water from our windows. (The room looked exactly like the pictures shown on the website.) Note that the hotel does not have beach access, but it is close to parks, shopping, food, and just about anything else you might want. (Head down the road to Pennekamp State Park - or in the other direction to Bahia Honda.) We enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

“Convenient Location; Nice Room”

Great location if you want to do some snorkeling as you can walk to the QuickSilver or ReefRoamer right from your room along the marina. We stayed 4 days and the room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, once we asked for it. e.g., the "full kitchen" had NO utensils or pots/pans, but they gave us a set when we asked. One little item: we LOVED the murphy beds since they were super comfortable and folded out of the way, but PLEASE hotel staff, look in behind when the bed is folded down and clean up the dust buffaloes in there! LOL... At least there were no dead bugs or rodents back there! Also, parking a bit strained but adequate.

Parking was a problem. Not enough assigned spaces. Everything else was great.

“Great time”

We had a great time the staff, room and food was great... Only down was the night we were leaving two couples rented the rooms by us. We were in the middle and had to leave early in the morning for our plane..... They had no consideration at all stayed up late and were loud..... otherwise all was great would stay again.......

“Great Place!”

We very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms, eventhough older, were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Coconuts was a fun place with great food. Not only would we stay there again, we actually did on our way back through from a week in Key West.
