Private beach. Private bar. Landscaped beautifully

Posted Mar 7, 2015
We originally had booked 3 nights & they gladly added an extra night (Friday). So nice to have a private beach & pier to enjoy the mornings. And then head out to one of the great restaurants or a drive south to other beaches & Keys

Not what I was expecting

Posted Mar 7, 2015
I paid extra for ocean view but all I got was a view of the mangrove trees. I was expecting to be able to walk on the beach but the hotel beach area was tiny. However, the suite was clean and very spacious. The facilities were clean. Overall a pleasant stay.

Beautiful pool and nice beach

Condo was small. Balcony was miniscule. View was nice. Beds were comfortable. No water pressure or hot water in kitchen. Seating for 3 and there were 5 of us. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Dissapointed

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Staff... Great Beach... Small Room... Not so great The toilet paper roll was broken off and was under the sink. Obviously the staff thought it wasn't worth repairing. There was rust under the toilet and some of the baseboards were gone. The mattresses and couched were wrapped in some sort of plastic that crunched whenever you moved. Not very impressive

Loved location and the level of quietness it delivers. Views were beautiful. Water access remarkable. Room outdated. Carpet old. Bed terrible. No window on front door/ lack of privacy with anyone passing by outside entrance. Non-smoking means everyone smokes on balconies which makes it impossible to enjoy yours if intollerant to cig or cigar smoke. Will consider again, but look around first for more modern, clean and private accommodations.

2 weeks in the keys

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: The room overall was nice ..nothing fancy but very functional and a wonderful view. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. Big lap pool.
Cons: This unit's kitchen accessories were rather sparse and the range needed a little repair..but was functional.
We spent two restful pleasant weeks at Ocean Suites. The location was good..off the main highway but close to shopping. The beach area is small but pretty. We would go back.

Could be a nice destination if it was kept up.

Posted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and the staff was great.
Cons: Has to have better upkeep.
Location: I expected to see a lot of beaches on the Keys.. There are very few public beaches
The water to the shower/tub was turned off because the tub drain was removed for repair. The bed was a double not queen and sagged badly to the middle. Has to be replaced. The room overall needs a lot of repair. This room should not have been rented.

Nice Condominium with a small beach area.

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Having a kitchen and balcony was a plus.
Cons: 1. A luggage cart to transport items. 2. A new sofa bed or mattress is needed.
Location: Location was excellent for us since we drove down from Miami. Aquarium experience in Marathon. Kino store in Key West.
The accommodations were comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen but it was sparsely stocked with supplies, i.e towels, dishwasher soap. Clearly there is some renovating occurring at the complex and maybe our room had not received any upgrades yet, i.e. walls in need of paint, door wall screen broken. We enjoyed the beach area -- more than enough chairs available and clean towels in the room. It was pleasant to have access to the cafe for drinks and snacks. The pool was beautiful too. We arrived late due to unexpected airline departure time and someone was available to check us in and provide information and directions. It was a very relaxing week. The Key Largo and Isla Morda area provided access to many activities, restaurants, and sites. We both feel we would come back and stay at Ocean Pointe.

Down and dirty

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Suites were spacious.
Cons: Clenlieness is in order, and a better description on the website to alert folks how big it is and where the amenities are in relation to the buidlings
Location: Location kind of sucked as it was far from good restaurants and nightlife.
The resort was so big (alot of large buildings very spread out) for the older folks in our group they had to get in the car and drive to the amenities. Beach wasn't really swimable, the "marina" was basically a boat dock and lonch ramp, "cafe" was at the bar, (not a good scene for kids) and food wasn't good. Pool scene was OK as it was a large pool and had a bar open some of the time, but set in the parking area and a walk from the ocean. Rooms were spacious, but kind of dirty. "Ocean view" needed binoculars to see the water, and was so small you couldn't put a chair on the balcony to relax - standing room only. Beds were clapped out and all sagged in the middle. Black mold was growing under the soap holder in the tub. Not worth the money.

Sun and sea

We hoped for a bigger beach and the resort is. 60 acres but a lot of mangroves. Big pool and lots of parking make it convenient.
