Not si nice and expensivePosted Mar 5, 2014
Stayed 1 night and did not enjoy so much as we could expect when you see rating on internet. Far from center , small swimmming pools. Liittle sun due to Palm trees. Expensive for what we paid for . And more important , very very noisy . The room next to us put TV and could not sleep till very late in night . Sure you can find better alternative. I don't recommend.

Nice but not ideal.Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: It is conveniently located to attractions in the area; most of the places we wanted to go anywhere in Key West was only about a $12 cab ride.
Cons: Back off from the anti-smoking policy, state up-front about travel to the beach, and perhaps include van service to popular areas on the Key.
Location: Catch a taxi (for less than $15) or rent a scooter to go see whatever you want. Not much within walking distance.
The actual beach was several miles from the rooms; what passed for "beach" at the actual resort was a sandy area for sunbathing with a fenced-off, rocky, and brush covered shoreline. We did enjoy the on-site pools but that's not the same. Also they're draconion anti-smoking policy may please some but really: A $500 fine for smoking in the parking lot? The staff said they'd really only seen that assessed for smoking in the rooms but if you enjoy tobacco realize if you stay in this resort you have to go next door to the Walgreen's parking lot to indulge (and there's no cover over there in case of rain - you're standing outside). Overall, though, a nice place with prices not unreasonable for the location. As with any resort realize that you have to read the offering very carefully as you only get what they say; don't assume it comes with anything else (not even an "honor bar" in the rooms, by the way.)

Beautiful hotel, quiet and relaxing...Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: We loved the suite, the balconies and the furnishings in the rooms. The whole resort was very clean, quiet and beautiful.
Cons: The food is just ok and there is no dinner or room service. Also, the bar closes too early in the evening.
Location: The resort is about 2 miles from Old Town and is a 10 min./$10 cab ride downtown. On the other hand, it is quiet and beautiful.
My husband and I stayed at Parrot Key last week and had a great experience. We arrived early, around noon, and while our room was not quite ready we were upgraded to a two room suite which was great as my husband likes to sleep in and I am an early riser. We went to the pool bar to wait while our room was prepared and Rutanya called us as soon as it was ready and we moved in about an hour later. We had great service all week at the pool bar thanks to Dean, Mindi and Kristen! Have the Key Lime Coladas! The entire resort is laid out in townhouse format with a one room suite on the first floor and and a two room suite on the second floor with an option for a third room one floor up. Both the first and second floor have porches or balconies in both the front and back. The balcony off of our bedroom overlooked the pool and had two adirondak chairs on it. The balconies are close together so not too much privacy although our neighbors were never out there. There was a gentlemen deliving bags to rooms but we took our own. Yes, there is a staircase to the upstairs levels, that's generally how you get upstairs :-) it's a normal set of steps though, not sure what the fuss is about. We had absolutely no issues all week with the housekeeping or the staff. Our room had a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and fridge. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. When we weren't in town we were usually lying around one of the four beautiful pools enjoying the peace and quiet and beautiful foliage.

A wonderful wedding anniversary get away!Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable room with a little porch and beach area. But really liked the pool areas. It's nice for couples because there we're not many kids.
Location: A little hike to the downtown area. We took bikes or drove because it's pretty far to walk. There's not that much by the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and loved Key West. We would like to come back here again. Everything was perfect!
Peaceful and elegantPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The balcony that opened to the beach was exceptional, and while we arrived at 10:30 in the morning, we were able to check in immediately, great room.
Cons: The only possible suggestion, that in Feb., the sun isn't as high in the sky and all their lush landscaping blocked some of the late day pool sun ???
Location: On the island of Key West, location isn't really a problem. All the amenities people who travel to Parrot Bay for, are right there.
Completely geared to the comfort and peacefulness of the guests. If your looking for R n R, this is the place to go ! They had 4 pools w/a bar, and the staff made you sure you had eveything you needed.

Good location not too far from action.Posted Feb 25, 2014
I booked the 3 bedroom/ 2 bath suite for a bachelor party and it worked out great. We arrived after hours and security was great in helping check into our rooms. Rooms were a good size, beds were confortable enough, cable tv had a good selection, and the small balconies were nice. There were at least three pools, each were separated by trees and one of them had a bar. There was plenty of parking in the parking overflow lot (a Walgreens) which was close and convenient. Even with a group of partly roudy guys, the staff never gave us a problem. Duval Street was about a 5 minute drive. Overall our experience was perfect our trip: Friendly helpful staff, not one of those resorts full of rules, it was nice and well maintained, and not too far from the action.

Nice hotel good viewsPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Great comfy rooms and grea pools
Cons: The breakfast food needs great improvement and extra covers in the room would be a great plus
Location: It is located right in the middle of restaurants and within walking distance of stores and about 15 min from closest beach.
We had a good clean comfortable room, the pools was great! The only problem we had was the cafe was high priced for uh it's ok food. I recommend the IHOP down the street for breakfast. But the room was great . Over all our experience was good and we will return.

Very nice hotel close to the water.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The grounds, plants, water, and how it was maintained.
Cons: Musty order in the lobby.
Location: It was close to everything, and easy to get around town from it's location. Once the road construction is completed it will even be easier.
We had a very good time. The hotel and grounds are well maintain. Feels like your in a rain forest. The rooms were clean, bright and well maintained. We would stay here on our next visit. The location makes it easy to get around town.
