Great location; run-down facilityPosted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Location only
Cons: Facilities need to be updated and maintained
No parking(except two handicapped spaces) in check-in area. Dead-bolt on door to room did not work. Safe in room did not work. When trying to call front desk to report problems, got voice-mail that no one currently available. The problems were fixed after I went to front desk to complain. THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR IN THE BUILDING WHERE OUR ROOM WAS LOCATED(we were on the second floor)....We were not advised of no elevator before or during check-in. The entire facility is run-down and overpriced

Nice hotelPosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: proximity to boating
Cons: bathrooms need work
Expedia let you choose Water View, etc. I chose Best View...which was the parking lot. Bathrooms need updating. Tub didn't drain at all;

Our stay at the Postcard Inn at Holiday IslePosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: Have the pools separated, one for adults and kids. Jet ski tour, have 1 for slower touring and the other fast speeds.
Location: I think complementary trips to the sandbar would be a definite plus. You could have picnics available for purchase and charge for the round trip.
We stayed 5 nights, took a jet ski tour, ate many times at the Raw bar and they had great food and wonderful staff. It can get pretty busy but they handled it well. The staff at the jet ski tour canopy are the best!!! They are funny, informative and make your stay rewarding. We wish they had 2 different sets of pools, one for adults and one for children. Other than that, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come there again next year.

Could use some upgradingPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location, multiple bars and restaurants that were good.
Cons: Renovations on the rooms/baths/hallways and overall buildings
Location: Robbie's offers food, drinks, and deep sea fishing which we took advantage of. The Theatre Sea of adventures is fun and very close by.
We booked through Expedia a King Bed room, not realizing that we would be in Building 3 which barely had a view of the water (mostly parking lot). We asked about upgrading at check in and were told sold out. Judging by the parking lot that night and the next morning we didn't feel this was accurate. I think the saying "got what we paid for" would probably be used here. The room was small much like in NYC, had been remodeled with the exception of the bathroom. Tub had paint missing, chipped and we thought the water faucet would fall out of the wall at anytime. Housekeeper did a nice job. Resort fee charged daily says chairs and umbrella's included so we did locate a gentleman and got a set put on the beach. The pool bar opened but had no Ice for over an hour and bartender said we could walk to one of the other bars on premises. You couldn't bring your own in the area so Beer was her only offer until mid lunch time. RawBar service, drinks and food were all very good. We ate and drank there twice. Overall, I would say the property has highlights with multiple bar offerings and a couple of restaurants however I would call the property a bit tired and worn. Perhaps much of the Keys is this way and those that are accustom to the area over look this. We were not prepared. location is good and Robbie's south of the hotel is a great place for food and fishing. We most likely would not book at Postcard in the future but did enjoy our vacation time.

Beautiful tropical pool butPosted Aug 10, 2014
Beautiful place but they are far from the action. A free transfer bus would help. Pool & grounds are very tropical. Rooms are pretty and clean.

Horrible - worse than beforePosted Aug 3, 2014
Cons: Stay at different hotel
Location: Checca hotel is nearby and a better place to stay. Lots of other hotels to stay in area.
We stayed at this hotel a year earlier during construction and water leaked from ceiling due to plumbing issue. Thought that since construction was over, it would be better. Toilet leaked at base all over bathroom floor, shower chipped and nasty, tiny spiders covered suitcase which was left on floor, bird poop covered lounge chairs outside room. Our rental car was hit in parking lot and there are no cameras monitoring lot. People in room above us threw glass bottles over balcony and we had broken glass to deal with outside our room on our lounge chairs and our exit to sand.

Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted Jul 25, 2014
Stayed in a suite with 1 room king bed other room 2 double beds with beautiful ocean view. Rooms were very spacious and perfect for a family. No kitchen. The bathroom was clean although could use updating ( stains on floor and caulk all thru the tub). The hotel had a nice beach for the Florida keys tho we never used it. Jet skis paddle boards and kayaks available. Great sandbar to paddle board or kayak to. Our visit was off peak and so very enjoyable. Great tiki bar and raw bar on the ocean for a quick get away from kids. House cleaning did not clean our room for 1 day.

Fun, but needs refurbishment.Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location, access to great little marina/fishing boats, access to dining, view from our room was awesome, employees very nice, lots of activities.
Cons: new beds, adhere to turning music down at 11pm, needs painting, floors are chipped, doors are chipped, AC tries to get to 61 but can't achieve it
Location: Great fishing, great dining, lots of watersports on site. SUP, jet skis, small boat rentals, gift shops, access to backcountry & deep sea fishing
Lots of things to do. Great location. Noisy. Music throbbed till 1 am on Friday nite. Rooms smell like hemp (headboards are made of rope and w/ humidity they smell), bathrooms are pretty beat up, could use some paint, doors don't seal so hard to totally cool room. It is an old structure….but it was still a fun place to stay. A little pricey for what you get. Could use new beds.
