Cozy resortPosted Feb 14, 2015
This resort is close to the hubbub of key west but still far enough away that it is quiet at night. They had nice pool area and rooms were all off the pool area. They had drinks available all day, with snacks at happy hour of free wine. In the evening they brought little cakes and dove ice cream bars to enjoy. They also kept our luggage before & after our stay. Very friendly & helpful. Rooms were very nice. Good choice for stay in key west.

Great place to stayPosted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: We really liked the personal touches that we received. Newspaper everyday, muffins and cakes every morning. Happy hour was great with free wine.
Cons: We didn't even realize that there was room service from the restaurant. There should be a menu in the suite.
Location: Short walk to the beach. Short walk to Duval. There are lots of restaurants nearby.
We felt comfortable from the minute we arrived. Having the full kitchen and laundry was so convenient. We will definatley be staying here again and again.

Better than expected.Posted Feb 9, 2015
I thought that the hotel would be just average because the price was reasonable and it was not on the water. However, the water was just around the corner (very close). The Room was very modern, clean, decorated nicely and comfortable. Heated pool was great and they served complimentary smoothies and fruit by the pool. All for less than other hotels in the area. There were only 2 things I didn't like about this place and they were - the bathroom doors from the bedroom was glass which meant you could not get up early or use the restroom at night without disturbing your spouses sleep. The other thing is a common practice for hotels in the area and that is tacking on a per day resort fee. They say it is for amenities but most all resorts have amenities of some sort. This is just a way of the hotel/resort to advertise a lower rate. just check resort fees as they differ from one place to another. Other than those two issues, this is a great place to stay.

Excellent , if pricey.Posted Feb 5, 2015
Rooms great, staff great, pool area great. Secluded yet in the middle of everything. Only thing I was a bit amazed at was the rooms have separate bedrooms yet we were charged extra for inviting my sister in law to join us and was charged for her. At these prices if I use both beds I shouldn't be charged. Otherwise have only one bedroom. Key West is much different than it was twenty years ago. Cleaned up, friendlier people, fine dining. A wonderful destination, like no where I have ever visited. If you want a high end experience Santa Maria is the place for you.

Loved the hotel and great location.Posted Feb 1, 2015
This was our 4th trip back to Key West and this was our favorite placed we stayed. It was a perfect fit as we brought friends so rented a two bedroom suite. We each had equally nice rooms that were clean and comfortable. The common space has a full kitchen, living room and even a laundry room. Great decor and friendly staff.

Good location. Nice amenities. Helpful staffPosted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: Clean, spacious enough for two couples.
Cons: Cleaning was never at same time...some days at 11, others as late as 4.
Location: Walking distance to southernmost point, several restaurants. Quiet at night because it's fare enough from the noise of Duval St.
A good place to stay for first time in Key West. Near enough to walk to many of the places you want to see. Plenty of room for two couples.
