Typical expensive motel in Keys,

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Was clean, staff were helpfull, room was pleasant
Cons: resort fee - though only $15.00/night they say it is for parking and pool. Stupid. This is basic motel with limited parking and basic pool, just $$$
Location: You need a car. Though it is in old town, long ways to most attractions. Key West as always is crowded with no parking, but nice place to visit.
The place is not any different than your typical holiday inn or sleep inn motel, with different colors in rooms. Just a lot more expensive. Make sure you do not get rooms that front US1 - very noisy in AM so you can't sleep in and of course your balcony faces noisy road. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Outside areas and pool are showing some wear. They say it is close to main drag, about half mile, but don't tell you it is then another mile to Malory square, so not as convenient as they let on. breakfast area way to small, was zoo in AM, had only few tables - needs to be twice the size for this size motel. Typical motel AC in wall with cold air blowing on bed all night. Parking is great if you own a Fiat, but extremely tight for everything else, stay a little further away and save a lot

Thank you for your comments. The Historic District is 14 blocks Atlantic to the Gulf, about 1 mile by 1 mile. One of the biggest issues in Key West is parking. We include parking in our rates as an amenity to our guests and provide more parking than we actually need, some covered and some open air. We are expanding our breakfast area and changing our pool area with the addition of a pool bar this summer/fall. We appreciate the feedback and hopefully will have addressed these issues.

Enjoyed 4th of July

Posted Jul 13, 2014
First time in Key West. For starters, the hotel is centrally located for pretty much everything you want to do when visiting. The hotel is walking distance to the trolley which I highly recommend for only $19 a person and is good for 2 days. The hotel is well maintained, clean and very courteous staff. The hotel is new so all accommodations are clean, sleek and modern. Even the lights and AC works off your card key. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast each morning in the lobby at no charge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice. A bit overpriced but nice. Should be more flexible in payment and allow guests to pay when they leave.

A nice place to return to.

Pros: That is was very clean.
Cons: Perhaps the pillows could use a little upgrade...a bit hard
Location: Very nice, within walking distance from Duval street
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely nice. One of the better things about the hotel was the air conditioning in the room! A definate plus after a hot day at the beach.

Love Love Love

After a horrible night at a nearby "motel" around 0430 am I booked a night here and left the other place behind. We came to the hotel at 1000 and told our story to the manager. Our room wasn't ready for very early check in however Jim, the manager, encouraged us to come in, eat breakfast, use the pool & the pool shower and he would have our room cleaned first. ( this was the only room available for that night). At 1130 we were able to access our room and it was immaculate. Room 315 the Sensational Suite was perfect. Since the night before none of my family had slept well, we were in a rundown motel that was obviously not in the same condition as advertised. The Silver Palms was more to our style. Jim then arranged a late checkout the next day and we were very grateful. We will stay at the Silver Palms the next time we are in Key West. Customer service and attention to detail. Well done

Not worth the money

Posted Jun 17, 2014
As everything there. It's expensive. The bed was hard as a rock, the lights need a key card to activate which it kept shutting off until I left a card in it permanently. The air conditioning never cooled the room even afte 5 days. The maids every morning sounded like they were constructing a new room next door banging furniture against the walls and making all kinds of noise. The room is just that, a room. Wouldn't complain if the price was what normal is. Their over priced for the quality and location

I am sorry you felt our Inn was expensive, We are actually quite reasonable by Key West standards. Our beds are Serta, Presidential Series and 99% of our guests comment on how great they are, again I am sorry you did not. Our green certified hotel uses the card key to activate the room electrics and we let each guest know to place one card in the reader while in the room. I am sorry you did not receive this information and have spoke to our staff to assure this does not happen again. I have spoken to our housekeeping supervisor and staff to be mindful of the neighbors while in the rooms. we hope you will consider us in a future stay and accept our apologies that this particular visit was not 100% which is our goal.
