Pros: classic design; like going back in time and well preserved. enough amenities to satisfy. View spectacular.

Location: oceanside with restaurants within walking distance; butterfly museum, hemingway house and truman white house all in walking distance.
poolside magnificent with ocean feet away; poolside bar with bar service exceptional; view extraordinary of palm trees and gardens with fountain; mansion stately and well preserved with staff very accommidating; location excellent quiet yet near all within in a nice walk or trolley. Beautiful hotel close to a very vibrant district

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. A beautiful breakfast awaits you and you can chose a nice table facing the Golf and pool.
Cons: It would be nice to have checkins a bit earlier then 4 pm but the staff accommodated me.
Location: Close enough to the Duval street tourist district but far enough not to hear the noise and sound of a typical toutrist area: i.e. a super location
Going to Key Largo and Key West is worth the drive. Drove down from Miami in about 4 hours and had time to stop and enjoy the scenery of the Keys. Key West is very different and has a very distinct cachet of an old style historical district. A stop on Duval street is a must with lots of very good restaurants and entertainment. I even sneaked in a good old time cigar bar and café where you could take suds and stogies on the front porch of a nice bistro. Hmm...thats life!.

Enjoyable stay. Mostly that is

Posted Jun 16, 2014
We were expecting the mansion but was initially placed across the street in another property. However we were upgraded as it was a birthday treat. The last day we moved over the street and had an awful time with drunk guest trying to get in our room, no hotel staff on duty had to call police. That being said the hotel is a gem and the staff wonderful could have longer bar hours

Very nice

Pros: Beautiful
Cons: Did not like having air conditioner blow right on the bed all night long. Very uncomfortable. Could use more furniture, like desk in big room.
Location: Perfect location, took Trolley to everything we wanted to see and do. Never took our car out.
Great experience, saw all we came to see and loved the restrauant behind the Lopez House. Hightly recommend that. Pool and bar are perfect place to relax and enjoy. It is beautiful aut there.

25th wedding anniversary.

Pros: Location. Privacy at pool area. Adults only The room The staff
Cons: The "only" small thing was the light that was able to shine in above the door at night. No real biggie.
Location: Great location, very quiet at night but still close enough to the night life if wanted.
The staff, GREAT. The first time going to a new location is always a bit concerning. They make you feel like family.

So Awesome!!!

Pros: NIce pool, easy walking distance to everything, right next to the beach.
Location: Within walking distance to everything!
Southern Most House is at the opposite end of Mallory Square which we thought was great. It was super quiet and parking was easy. The room was huge and beautiful, staff was very nice. Our view from our room looked out to the pool and gulf. I will stay here again for sure!

Nice House on Southern End of Duval

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: We liked the fact that it was quiet and the grounds were kept nice.
Cons: Making sure rooms are ready on time and when they are not offer a discount or some type of comps. Charging $20 for parking to your guest is pitiful.
Location: Nothing really close...although nothing is ever far away in KW. The biggest closest attraction would be the 90 mile to Cuba marker.
We stayed here for 3 days in the middle of the week. The first lady we met was very friendly and nice. Check in was not until 4p and we were there at 11a. She granted us access to the pool if we wanted and took our number to call us when our room was ready. By 4:30 no call so we went back to the lobby. We were told our room was not ready, but we were allowed to check in. Our room was not ready until after 5. Once in the room we were amazed by how nice it was with original tile and era furniture pieces. What we did not like was the used cotton ball in the floor of the bathroom and the chips I found on the tile floor. They obviously had rushed when they cleaned the room and did a poor job. When I told the desk clerk my concerns with the late check in and not so clean room, he really did not seem to care. Other than these few issues we really loved our stay. The bed was awesome! Both houses our beautiful, just make sure you know which one you will be in. Also this is on the quiet end of Duval St. Everything downtown is within walking distance, just know you have a long way to stumble home unless you take a taxi back. The pool is very nice and so is the entire pool area. We would stay there again, yes. But in all honesty since we never used the beach and KW being full of public beaches, we might look to stay inland to save on the money. Now if you are the type of person who just stays at the hotel/house all day then this place is the place to be!

Disappointment

Posted Apr 17, 2014
I expected to be transported back to bygone days by staying in a Victorian mansion. Instead I was shuffled across the street to a Four bedroom plantation house. It was comfortable just disappointing especially for the money. I didn't have internet access nor close by parking. All in all I could have stayed elsewhere for less money and more charm
